This is the first I’ve read about an omnimover being considered for Japan (even if it was decades ago). That would have been neat.

The article looks to be speculation? This would be great, but its too good to be true
The art for the Omnimover is old art for a proposed but never built project. 100% real.
Do you think we'll see SOMETHING in Japan in the near future? An attraction, not a new restaurant...
The "show" building is still on the radar.
Good! I love the Japan pavilion, and I'll be thrilled with a new attraction there.

I would love to see an omnimover ride in Japan
World Showcase needs some "people-eater" attractions (those with high capacity).
So does Future World for that matter.

The closest we ever got to that was on DreamFlight when you were in the Japanese pagoda garden. Loved that whole attraction, but the Japan scene was always my favorite for some reason. 'Tis a shame we didn't have HD quality cameras back then to preserve some of those older attractions for the present and future. If only I had a DeLorean equipped with a flux capacitor and Mr. Fusion. ((sigh))

At this point, I would be happy with an attraction that was cultural in nature vs. an IP based one. Not hopeful for that, but a guy can dream.
OK, maybe you can wear me down to wanting just about any attraction to go in there- maybe...

That's not a bad idea, but it probably would have had to be designed from the beginning. Could they even do it now in a way that enhances the area vs. intrudes. This is a good reminder to finish my "If I Designed EPCOT Center" post.
