January - Warm Enough for Pool?

Will be at Beach Club Jan 5-11. Do you think we will be able to enjoy the pool area? Will it be warm enough?

It depends on where you're from. I find it fine.

All the pools are heated, but getting out and drying off can be tricky unless you're from Canada... :lookaroun

Well if this January is anything like last January then the pool is a definite no! :lol:

We used to always go in January and I guess it depends on the day-some days it can be 70 with no breeze so the pool is great but other days its low 60s, high 50s so ya never know!

Pack your bathing suit just in case.

I agree. Last year, the daily high that week was around 55. Three years ago it was low 80's.

Yeah for me it all depends on the air temp no matter how warm the water is.

The water should be nice as it is heated. But as mentioned before, the dash from the water to your towel and then to the room maybe a bit cold.

January can fluctuate so much. I have gone the past 3 years and will be returning again in a couple of months. In 2008 it was in the 40's for my first two days, and then it was up in the 80's. Last year it was in the 30's and 40's (with snow and sleet). So you never really know...pack for everything.

I thoroughly think you could enjoy the pool area in January, but after living in Florida for over 20 years now I certianly would NOT get in the water though :lol:.

Kidding aside it can get quite cool in January and regardless what weather you are acustom to it may not be the most ideal swimming weather. If I were you I'd not schedule any pool days but be prepared and have your plans flexiable enough so when you get that 80 degree day your ready for it.

Probably not. BUT, as a Floridian, it's NEVER cold 100% of the day. 11 am - 2 pm is always hot no matter what unless some freak cold front from Mars is in. Since that's in the middle of the day, you will probably have that entire pool to yourselves. Good luck!
