My dad has just announced we'll be having a DisneyWorld vacation in January /feburary 2017.....we live in the UK and it will be our tenth Disney vacation ...my question is , when will be the best dates to go to WDW Jan/Feb 2017 crowd wise

Any advice will be highly appreciated !

We just went this past February and had a blast. We went 2/6-2/13 (right before Valentine's Day and President's Day here in the states). It was unseasonably cold too - I think one day it was in the 70s but the rest of the time was mid to high 50s. I would say definitely stay away from Valentine's Day (Feb 14th) and Presidents Day (Feb 13th) and you should be fine. My suggestion would be to go the last week in January to first week in February and you should be fine crowd-wise. Happy planning!

we are from the uk too and go every feb for past 6 years and jan 7 years ago when we got married there.crowd wise weve found it a little busy around presidents weekend with many sporting activities happening but not over powering. weather wise weve had lovely sunshine to record lows so my best advice would be to type bay lake into your phone weather app a few weeks before youre trip to give you a greater idea of what to expect

If its not a holiday weekend, crowds will be on the lower scale.

Water parks might be closed due to weather or refurbishments often.

Same for other major attractions. Low point of the season they ramp up refurbs.

Check the crowd calendars and you'll that it gets crowded around a holiday. Otherwise, Jan-Feb is a great time to go to WDW. We've gone many times during the winter and enjoyed less crowds and cooler weather. While usually nice during the day, it could be cold at night (we live in Hawaii so anything below 70* is chilly, and below 60* is cold! but you might find it pleasant) so be sure to bring clothes for cooler weather. It's been more crowded in recent years due to the S American tour groups, but that's mostly noticeable at the MK.

You'll have a great time, I know!

The weather is hit or miss that time if the year, which can really change your decision, plus the parks have nothing going on then. Oddly when we went mid end of January just a couple years ago it was way busier than we thought id be. Lots of south Anericans bc it's their summer.
