I 'll agree with you and dave as well, We did a triple resort stay this past August to try new DVC resorts, first stop was AKL jambo house, 2 nites there was more than enough, lots of walking which I dont mind but it was very spread out,and we had a view of the Savanna, after a few times seeing it , yeah had we had enough, but the room was Beautiful!!! Next stop was BLT , all I can say is we loved it!!! had a MK view, which was fabulous, to see the monorail go past my Balcony every few minutes and to hear the whistle from the Train .....Oh yeah I was hooked!!! We definatly are gonn atry staying there again next yr !!! Next stop was our home of SSR, we love our home resort, like the closeness to DTD , I know many arent crazy about SSR , but to us it is home!!!!Own at BLT. Spent the first trip at AKL-KV and I like the resort, but Dave hit the negatives accurately. It was a 10 minute walk to the lobby from our room. I found the bus service to be slow there too. The pool was VERY nice there though and if you like quiet and out of the way, that's the resort to be at.
We've stayed one night at BLT, and loved the location. We didn't go to the parks, but watched the MK fireworks from the bridge to the Contemporary, and spent the evening checking out the monorail loop. Can't wait to stay there again for the 4th of July next year.
I also used points on the Disney Dream. Not the most efficient way to use points, but none of the villas park at Castaway Cay for the day either!
