I've been for Christmas the weather is warm, but on a night it gets a bit cold.
The decorations and trees are beautiful. The lines for the rides are very short. Except on Christmas Day. Its just amazing at Christmas.

The gingerbread house in the GF is simply amazing! Christmas at Disney is also amazing. We have never been there on Christmas Day but we have (3 times) arrived on Boxing Day. The parks are beautiful and being in the Florida sun is infinitely better than slogging through the snow in Chicago for a week in December. Enjoy your trip!

Christmas time at WDW is a blast. Chect out all the decorations at each hotel. And you will love the holliday Illuminations at Epcot. Also ASAP buy tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. There's a thread under "News & Rumors" named Mickeys Christmas Party. Check that out for some more info

I think you have it the other way around. Christmas Day lines are not bad, but the week between Christmas and New Year's is the busiest week of the year.

Just take advantage of EMH and Fast Passes and you should be able to do everything. The parks are all open later that week.

Have fun, the parks are a great place to be during the holidays.

Magic Kingdom lines on Christmas Day are bad. I went to Magic Kingdom first then I decided to get the bus and go to MGM studios which wasn't bad but wasn't as empty as it was the week before. I wouldn't know about the New years lines as I went shopping for the last two days of my trip (i left on the 27th)

Congrats! While at the AKL you might want to try the Hidden Mickey scavanger hunt, they give you all the clues on a sheet of paper, and the rest is up to you. You get to wander the whole resort.

It sounds great - wow! But such a long time to wait :dazzle: :(

It is a long time - but it gives us something extra special to look forward to. Plus with it being Christmas there is going to be so much more to see and do (and that means extra planning !!).

Thank all for the advice and tips :D

Welcome aboard

You're welcome to come along - as long as you're paying you're own costs  We were last at WDW in August '06 - I guess that the 2+ months between our respective trips makes all the difference !!
