I've gone off the deep end!

To celebrate spring I spent Saturday shopping for summer clothes. So far that sounds normal enough but whenever a sales person asked what I wanted or was looking for I started talking about my upcoming trip and how I was going to need clothes for the world. Not just that I was going but what clothes I wanted to wear for each park! Do any of you just go over the top when planning or talking about planning a Disney trip?

Holy mother of Mickey, your mother has NEVER been before? How in the WDW did that happen? I'd ask more but this is the END of tax day...but you know that THAT means.

My parents believed in ski vacations and summers on the lake! My first time was when I was 2 and of course I don't remember. My real first time was when I was a senior in highschool with my boyfriend and his family. We stayed off property and did Disney and Universal. I was hooked. That was twenty years ago and I have been seven times since and have always been on property. August will be my ninth visit:) It will either be a great vacation or one I will live to regret:eek:

Ya April 15!!!! Enjoy and be merry!! Much pixie dust coming your way Pooh!!

Thank you! It was a tough tax season. I really hope the vacation with your family is everything you hoped for and more. Either way, don't let it get in the way of all that you want it to be. I know how that goes.

I was just thinking about posting a thread like this. I, too, went shopping over the weekend and even though my trip isn't until Dec, I've already started planning my outfits. When I picked up my "Jasmine" shirt, my mom's reaction was priceless. It's just a a cute teal colored collar shirt from Charlotte Russe, but she's sick of my Disney antics. I also have a big gold necklace from my Halloween costume (surprize...Jasmine) to go with it. So far my plan is: AK - Pocahontas inspired; Epcot - Jasmine inspired; MK - Belle and/or Snow White inspired (we'll probably go more than once), and HS - ??? I was thinking Jack Skellington :D but not sure yet. I also need a nicer outfit for the night of NYE but also not sure if it'll be inspired by anyone.

So, you're not alone. I'm already further than the deep end.

So today I was in tutoring, tutoring this boy in English (non native speaker, he sometimes just needs to take it slow). He was asking me about college and study abroad and asked me where I would want to go. I said Spain since I already speak the language. He asked me to say something in Spanish. So of course I said, "Por Favor, manténgase alejado de las puertas." He asks me what it meant and where I got it...

And there ended the talk of anything relating to English for that tutoring session.

Actually he was really engaged in what I had to say. He had only been to Disneyland and was really curious about the world. That, and then he was trying to test me just to see if I knew the answer. He's a very cool kid. I get pain-in-the-butt students, but he's been really good. Except for getting off topic, that is.

Haha, that's the way it is for me and most people. This kid just happened to be really interested. I'm also not just spouting information about my trips. I tell them little known facts, answer questions, etc. Teens are usually pretty interested. Though my friends have learned what happens if they try to tell me I'm wrong about something Disney related. Not pretty;)

If you've gone off the deep end then I just went with you! ;) I did this exact same thing on Sunday! My hubby, of all people, has this crazy idea that we all need to wear the same color on the same day. (See my profile pic? That was turquoise day!) He pretends that he "enjoys" going to Disney, but I know deep down inside he is screaming "YES! WE ARE GOING BACK. WOOHOO!" He is not one to care about fashion even though he wears a shirt and tie every day to work. BUT at Disney.....he says the pictures look better, it is easier to keep an eye on all of us, etc, etc.

As one of the pp's said I, too, pack for each day. Everyone's Monday outfit gets packed together, Tuesday outfit gets packed together, etc. I know, I know......totally nuts! However, with 5 people it ensures that I don't over-pack. I always do laundry 1 day so we can redo a few days plus go home with less laundry. :)

My favorite days are pink or purple days. My daughter and I love seeing the boys wearing pink or purple.
