Sorry guys - my laptop keeps freezing up on me. :brick:

Oh man, I LOVE FW. I grew up going camping there at least once a year. I have so many great memories. It's one of favorite places to go in the entire world. It's so relaxing and fun.

Tree lizards? Yeah, I guess we have a lot of those

I still need to read/get that!

I'd love to go back - my husband was in love with the golf cart we rented - would've taken it home if he could.

It was! How was your day? Did Abby & Joel have a good Christmas?

It was a great day. Started a little too early for me - but I took a small rest in the afternoon. Been playing new games on the Wii - we got Smash Brothers Brawl, Wii Music, and Carnival Games Mini-Golf. Also got a Wii Fit - but I still need to sync that and set it up.
The kids have definite favorites in what they got today...for Joel it was a figurine of Wall-E and an animated Transformers DVD, and Abby got hand warmers () and a Teacher game for her Nintendo DS. Plus she's been loving the Wii games also.

Sooo...

My Christmas got an abrupt end when Marc's grandmother called during Christmas dinner to ask Marc's dad to take his father to the ER. They said he couldn't move his one side, which sounds like a sroke to me. :(

Kinda changed the whole day, just like that...

So Bun...
Tell us about Anastasia.
Did she love her presents?

This morning was just so overwhelming for her. She had a total blast. Loved opening gifts, loved playing with them, loved putting the wrapping paper away...

and then abruptly hit the wall at noon, and went down for a good long nap.

Oh no.
Sorry to hear that.

He went to the hospital in the middle of the night last night for dehydration and was complaining of equilibrium issues on Christmas Eve... so who knows. They're still at the hospital right now, AFAIK. :(

Sounds like she really got into it!

Wow.
I'm surprised the hospital let him go home last night.
Something was obviously going wrong then.

She loooved it.

Although she's still up now. I may have to go back in and rock her to sleep again. Too much Christmas! :xmas:

As for Marc's grandfather... It had to be bad for him to even admit to anything being wrong. This is the man who told everyone he was "ready to die" and didn't want radiation when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He also told Marc when he was little that real men don't cry or need anesthetics for stitches. So he's a real manly man no-nonsense kind of guy. Oh, and he was in medicine himself, so his attitude is a bit off.

I could use a little rocking myself.

Well, I hope it's nothing too serious.

Oh man....

just got a phone call from our PTG pres....another PTG member's husband passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve. :( He was older than her, but still just in his 50's. She also has a son with autism, although he is much more severe than Joel - not verbal at all.

Bun, I'm sorry about Marc's grandfather. Sending a prayer....

I should lend you Anastasia's bedtime CD... man they could use that to knock people out for surgery. It's dangerous! I can't tell you how many times I have allllmost fallen asleep with her in my arms because of it.

Really?
What's on it?

I am the fussiest person when it comes to sleep. I need total darkness, plenty of space, my covers just right, and no noise at all. I run a fan all year round just to block out other sounds.
