To me, "lengthy" is longer than 5 weeks but it's still a decent amount of time. And I'd definitely assume FOTLK would be open by then, but I don't believe they think that way anymore. If they want it closed for refurb it'd be closed regardless, IMO.

Will be there during the refurb. I guess we will miss it, well my wife and I will but my son will be very happy as he hates the ride so much he would rather just sit and wait.

I think this attraction could use a good refurb. On my last trip in April 2013 a few things needed some cleaning, some effects in the seats weren't working and I'm sure the projector and screen could use a little clean up.

I saw it Thursday and thought it looked pretty good to me. Hopefully this has to do with the tree of life issues. The netting is just ridiculous and needs to be removed.

It may also allow some repair and prep work to the tree of life perhaps?
If this is going to form part of the light show, it will need some major work around the line wait area I guess.

It would be great if they updated it with higher definition projection. We love the show, but the video could be cleaned up a bit
