Bring Pan back and I will enjoy the show more.

I’m not ready for the show to leave, but some of the changes they made to the current show are disappointing.

This new show is essentially Fantasmic! from Tokyo and World of Color with little bits of the '92 show thrown in.

That Pirates segment? Unbelievably bad.
The new vocals heard throughout? Horrific.
The new "Jungle" segment where they mash Lion King and Jungle Book? Confusing, convoluted mess.
The new Pink Elephants EDM track? Gonna age more poorly than Paint the Night.....

I used to be West Coast but now I live in the East Coast. This past Sunday I got to see the updated show for the second time. I was really hoping to warm up to it. I did not. I find your post pretty spot-on. I did condense it to my favorite part.

I think the biggest crime of the show is the arrangement of the music. Specifically the Fantasmic theme. They basically change the equivalent of blast of the Star Wars symphonic score at the beginning of the movie scroll. They need to return to the original soundtrack. The original orchestration of the theme song. That by itself would fix almost half of the problems. Do that and remove Pirates of the Caribbean and put Peter Pan back in. And I'm willing to call it even. There are other parts of the show that are little bit helter-skelter but they might be able to grow on me if the original theme was returned and Peter Pan. But those two things just make me unwilling to sit through the show anymore. I never thought the day would come where I would say this, and I say the following with a heavy heart.

I now like the Walt Disney World version better.
