It's the BIG 40! Celebrating Disney Style! (PTR)

Good Morning to all my WDW Magic Friends,

I feel like I planned this celebratory trip so long ago and now it is finally here. Our original plans were quite different than what we ending up with but, it all worked out pretty wonderful, I think.

My 39th year has been pretty spectacular and turning 40 can only be even more awesome!

I am blessed with a beautiful family and they will all be traveling with me let me introduce you:

Sue (39) - That would be me... I work in NYC as a secretary for a very interesting State Agency. In the afternoon and evenings I teach yoga. I love my work; I am a very lucky gal!

John (49) - My Hubby! We married 5 years ago! He is my best friend and partner in crime. He swears he doesn't like Disney as much as I do but, he wears a Disney t-shirt every day to work. Granted he is retired and now works from home but, he wears them non-the-less.

MOM (65) – Mom is cool, my best bud. Retired and takes care of my 91 year old grandma. She is really looking forward to this vacation and spending time with the kids.

DAD (69) – Retired and walks about 12 miles every day. He is truly my hero. There is no one on this planet like him.

Joe (41) – My big brother. Sometimes I wonder who is the bigger Disney fan, him or me? We both share the love of the world! His one goal in life, that his 3 princesses actually 4 are happy.

Nicole (4?) – My beautiful sister-in –law. Poor dear, is not the biggest fan but certainly has the patience to deal with the both me and my brothers crazy enthusiasm.

The Nieces… All I will say is that they are beautiful and will be known as D6, D9,D13…. They are the coolest nieces anyone can ask for. They all have big beautiful personalities and I can’t wait to see their reactions to some of the surprises we have in store for them.

Grace (65) – This is my brothers Godmother and my Mom’s childhood best friend. There is no way we can travel down to WDW without her!

Travel Dates:
August 26 through September 1

On arrival day I have pixie septors and Tiars being delivered to the 3 Princesses via Disney Florist and a bottle of champagne being delivered to each room.

Getting There:
I am Flying with John, Mom, Dad and Grace
My Brother and his family are driving

Tickets:
7 day park hopper

Dining Plan:
YES

My brother owns DVC and will be spending the week at the Beach Club Villas.

The rest of us will be at the Board Walk Inn, Club Level.

All of our Table Service Reservations have been accounted for. We plan on winging our Quick Service options. So far, this is where we stand:

Keep on swimming,keep on swimming.Howdy Sue,nothing yet.We tried lots of things to get photos down and eventually got it when we opened account with Flickr,there's no E in the word.The DW has just put me on Facebook.Talk about living in the past.:)

While this has me super fustrated...lol...I turned my attention to posting some restaurant reviews on the Magic website....

Here we go...
Day1
Magic Kingdom
My brother and his family arrived a few days prior in the Orlando area so after an early morning (upgraded) jetblue flight we met them in the park a little before noon. Check in was easy breezy. We were met by the wonderful staff at the Inkeeper's Club. Anita, Lorenzo, Patsy, Jackie and the rest of the family there at the Boardwalk are absolutely Amazing. Our room wasn't ready yet but Mom and Dad's room was as was my Aunt's so we checked them out, brushed out teeth and headed out to the parks.

The girls had no idea what time we were arriving and when they saw us the little one jumped into my arms! That one moment, made the entire trip perfect!

From here we moved thru the park pretty quickly and hit, The Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Space Mountain. We were closing in on our dinner reservation at Cindy's Castle, so we headed on over....

Dinner here was subpar. Other then the Princesses delighting my nieces with pictures and autographs, I see no need to return.

Day 2 has arrived and it doesn't look pretty:

It was a Monsoon outside...not really but, boy was it coming down in sheets! We had some breakfast in the Inkeeper's Lounge and off we went. The rain did not stop us, we slickered up and moved out! I thought heading to the land would be our best option. We could hit 3 attractions and by the time we were finished (Soarin 2x's, Living with the Land and The Circle of Life) we were ready for a little lunch. Lunch was wonderful, Mom and I had a beet and walnut salad that was really fresh and delish. Dad, Aunt Grace and Johnboy had the Chinese option and everyone was very pleased. As we finished up lunch my brother decided to come out of hibernation and we all took Soarin for yet another flight!

Well, it looks like the clouds are moving out and so are we, out of the Land anyway...

We proceeded to move pretty quickly thru Misson Space and Ellen's Universe of Energy. We stopped at Club Cool to wet our whistle and got Mom yet again with Italy. I think my brother has a picture of her reaction, I will have to get it from him. You would think she learned by now not to trust her kids....lol

We were able to get a quick photo op between raindrops...

DN13 is a huge fan...

Dinner this evening was at the Coral Reef. I was delightfully suprised. This was never a big hit in the past but, we made a reservation to please my middle niece. Everyone was very happy and I had a unique vegetable and potato strudel. Yummy to say the least.

Off to the World Showcase! First stop...
