It's not AKL, but could you tell me about POFQ?

Well we're going to Disney during free dining. I was hoping to stay at AKL but we're taking 3 other vacations this year and now it's not in our budget. We've decided on POFQ and I just want to get excited and hear all about the things you love there. TIA

I love coming "home" from the parks, walking thru the lobby and hearing live jazz coming from "Scat Cats" lounge. I LOVE the pool, and finding Doubloons. I love walking down the Rue to our room. I love the grounds. I love the beignets dipped in honey. And I love taking the boat to DTD at night, it's so romantic. It's a great hotel and you'll have a wonderful time :wave:

I AGREE with everything you said! It it a great hotel!! Though I've never had the beignets before, I will in 22 days!!!:sohappy:

I stayed there last year and loved it. It just seemed to have a very calming feel about it. Never a long walk to anyplace. The pool was fun for the kids, and you can't beat a boat ride to Downtown Disney.

We absolutely loved our stay at POFQ last year. It was such a relaxing and quiet resort, a big difference from the craziness of the parks. The beignets are awesome and the boat ride to DTD is great.

We found that the calm atmosphere did not transfer over to the Riverside portion of PO. We had dinner at Boatwrights one night and were very surprised at how crazy and overpacked the Riverside area was in comparison to French Quarter.

Enjoy your trip and say hi to all the little lizards running around the resort for me!!
