Pre-Trip It's Never Too Early to Start a PTR, Right?!?

Exciting news!! We're going on another cruise! It just won't be until 2021!

We have promised the kids that we would take them each on a trip as a graduation present, and Logan is finishing up his sophomore year. If you have read any of my other PTRs or even trip reports, you know that I am a planner! I have been on his case to decide what he may want to do so we can 1) start saving money, and 2) I can start researching. He has finally decided that he wants to go on another cruise. He took a few days to decide if he wanted an Alaskan itinerary or a tropical itinerary. He finally decided on a tropical trip. Now we just have to wait for the 2021 itineraries to be released to decide if he wants a longer Caribbean trip or a shorter, but possible Castaway Cay double dip Bahamas trip.

Who: Me (Amy), Brian, Logan (16 now), Lily (14 now), and Owen (11 now)

Unfortunately, Brian ended up not being able to go on that cruise, so he and I took one later that year.

We spent the first half of the week at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. We then drove along Lake Erie and visited the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. We were lucky enough to get to spend part of today with @amjt660 Max/Drew/Andrew/Clarence and his lovely wife @TMax Tricia. It is always so nice to actually meet the people I feel like I already know from all our reports on here!

Well, it's official! We booked our cruise today!! There was only one Castaway Cay double dip, so we went with it! I'm not very thrilled we will be cruising in July, but it is what it is!! We will be on the Fantasy from July 17-22 with a day at sea, a day in Nassau, and 2 days at Castaway Cay!

Now that we are back from our modified Universal trip this year and I have finished the TR, I have really dug into the planning for this trip! Our loose plan so far is to drive down on Sunday, July 11 and stay at Cabana Bay for 2 nights and spending all day on Monday at Volcano Bay. We will then transfer to a SeaWorld partner hotel for 2 night and spend Wednesday at SeaWorld since we didn't use our tickets this year. We will then head over to Port Canaveral for 2 nights and spend Friday at the Kennedy Space Center before embarking on the Fantasy on Saturday the 17th. Still not sure if we will do something after the cruise for a day or two or just head home. I still have plenty of time to decide!

Another big milestone for this trip! Logan had his last first day of high school today! Well, kind of! He is actually doing most of his classes online through the College Credit Plus program this year at our community college and their classes started today. He is doing his one engineering class through the high school, so he will have another last first day on Sept. 8!

I have made some reservations, but those are all subject to change. We have a 2 bedroom volcano view suite booked at Cabana Bay (Universal) for July 11-13, a 2 bedroom suite at Staybridge Suites (SeaWorld) July 13-15, and a 1 bedroom suite at the Port Canaveral Country Inn and Suites for July 15-17, then the cruise for July 17-22. We are tossing around the idea of a couple of days at Disney after the cruise to hit Hollywood Studios and possibly AK. It will just depend on how things are going with reservations and such closer to time. I have signed up for the fish extender, ornament exchange, and magnet exchange on the Facebook group for the cruise. I really want to start ordering things for the exchanges, but I feel like I need to wait to be sure cruises even start happening again!
