Just wondering how they manage to ensure that all the parks, inc. water parks are actually empty at closing time. There are that many places to hide, surely there must, occasionally be people who try to stay in there. If so, how are they found, and how serious is their fate?

I think everyone is pretty much on camera the whole time you are in the parks, so they would probably find you by the time the night is over. Also, nighttime is when disney does most of their maitnece, so you would probably have a pretty good chance of getting caught.

They have tons of guards who sweep the parks......and your bound to run into a maintenance or janitorial personell.

Yes...disney has its own jail..each park actually has an independant containment facility. I know the one in epcot is located right next to Spaceship earth (no...i was never there personally)...

Years ago a couple of kids stayed on Tom Sawyers island till the park closed and tried swimming over to shore and drowned in the process. :(

So i guess it has happened that people try to be sneaky in the past...

That's just an urban myth. There was a thead ages ago on this. The only reall death I think was when the Mark Twain River Riverboat tried to sail, while chained down, the chain broke and flew, killing two guests and a cast member.

I have been "caught" by the hometime sweep in Animal Kingdom. I was caught up watching the tigers when a group of CMs came by - they were herding all the guests still on the trail to it's exit. So I merrily chatted to them as they finished the route.

If you're caught at MK, they tie you to one of the boats in IASW and you go around, and aroud, and around, and around...
All this time I thought they put you in one of the jails on POTC. I thought IASW was for repeat offenders
