It's hard to choose!!

So i'm trying to decide which time of the year is better to go. We are looking at the dates of October 28th to November 3rd Or November 28th to December 4th both this year.. I see its more to go Oct. to Nov. then Nov. to Dec. This will be our first trip to the world and are just wondering what's it like in Dec. weather? crowds? ect. and whats it like for Oct? any other info would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance :)

Both of those weeks would have low crowds, I think. However, I would choose the week after thanksgiving (nov 28 - dec 4). I understand that it is a very light week crowd-wise. You should also have very mild weather, not too cold, but not hot either. I wish I could go at that time!

One of the major things to consider here is what kind of holiday would you rather experience at WDW. October is transformed into Halloween central. I've only experienced this at Disneyland, but it was fantastic. The theming & decor were great, and the Halloween Screams fireworks were equally as great. I think they're called Hallowishes at WDW. You might have high crowds over Halloween weekend, I'm not sure how bad it gets.

The first week of December is a very light crowd week. The Christmas activities & decorations will all be up. I thought it was the most beautiful I've ever seen WDW - and we loved all the holiday events. The weather was hit or miss. We had some days in the low 80's, and others much lower where we wore jeans & sweatshirts. Either way, evenings were always chilly even if the day was warm. Really not bad though!

Here is my take if you do the late Oct to early November you get the Food and Wine Festival which is AWESOME...If you wait and do late Nov into early Dec you get Disney done up for Christmas which is AMAZING! Honestly I don't think you can go wrong either way but my vote be towards late November because the Disney done up for Christmas just enhances the magic that much more.

For your first trip, I'd say go at the end of November. The Castle is thrilling for the first time au naturel, but decked out in Christmas finery it is absolutely breath taking!

You can't go wrong at any time of the year, though :) Have a great vaca!

We are going the 4th - the 12th or 13th of Dec this year. It will be our first time going in Dec and I am excited. We have been in Oct before and it is fun then too so I would have to say it would depend on what you want to see.

I do think that the Magic Kingdom will be busy the first weekend in Dec. because of the Christmas parade being filmed there.

I've been there during both October and December, and I'd pick December every time. Probably because I'm a complete Christmas nut, so Christmas AND Disney at the same time is the greatest thing ever. All four parks have holiday decorations, and the resorts are decorated as well.

As for weather, I live in Florida, so I can say with some confidence that it will still be pretty hot in October. There's always a chance that you'll get lucky and there will be a bit of a cool front, but it's always been hot when I've gone. You have a better chance of cooler weather in December.

So yes, I'm totally biased in the favor of a December trip! :xmas:

You have a better chance at warmer weather in october, but I prefer the xmas decorations, so I would choose December. Plus its cheaper!! Both times are nice so either way you can't go wrong. I do like the halloween party better than the xmas party. It does get crowded the week of halloween. Happy planning.
