It's Cold

Negative 40 with the windchill in Ottawa today. Coldest day in a decade. On my walk to work my eyelashes kept trying to freeze together when I blinked.
And I thought it was cold here in Maryland. 12 degrees yesterday morning when I went to school with a wind chill of -5. For MD, that is extreme. It was also a great day for the heat to be broken in one part of the school. o_ONot. We went in 2 hours late because it snowed last night. Supposed to snow again, but I will be in Disney.

It was 81 here today. 72 right now.

*Runs and hides like a scalded dog*
:cool:Not amused. Actually, I'm headed to Disney, and it's supposed to be 85 on Wednesday and 75 and above the rest of the time. Compared to MD, where there is currently snow on the ground...my only thought when I woke up and found out there was snow on the ground and schools were late was "Why am I not in Disney?" No worries, headed there tomorrow.

How sad is it that I'm excited that tomorrow afternoon it might get up to 25 degrees?

That would be nice:confused:. I'm headed to Disney tomorrow afternoon. Escape from the cold!

South Florida Cold Report.

In the news today:

*My refrigerator felt a bit chilly as I opened it this morning. Fearing a bit of an arctic blast, I avoided opening the freezer altogether.

*The shower felt a bit too cool at first due to chillier ambient temperatures, so I had to turn up the heat on the water temperature slightly in order to find a comfort zone worthy of winter's challenges.

*My bare feet were extremely cold on the sprinkler drenched lawn as I took the garbage receptacle to the end of the driveway for today's pickup. Those last few steps were grueling.

*The A/C did not cycle on all morning, thus creating an eerie silence throughout the home.

More news to come with any ensuing developments.
:cool:I am not amused.

On average, gasoline prices are usually lower during autumn & winter months, and higher during the summer months (especially between Memorial Day & Labor Day).

Did you know that road rage & anger in general peaks during the hot summer months?

Did you know that living in RI with me from January through April can only be described as, well, unpleasant. Ask anyone.

Diseases spread by mosquitos kill more people in the world than any other factor.
Ever had to worry about a mosquito attack in the winter?
