Eeyore is from Pooh thus Eeyore is evil.

I like Pooh & co, but I have a friend who won't have anything to do with it because every character has some social or psycological disorder. She says she's spent enough time in counseling and she has enough of her own problems to worry about

But you could say that with every cartoon characters on TV. The Looney Tunes are loonier than anything in Winnie the Pooh cartoons.

Come to think of it, almost everything on TV has social and/or psychological issues. So does your friend avoid everyone else too?

I was upset by Eeyore as a child because he wouldn't sign my autograph book.
It wasn't his fault though, it was his hands/gloves, without opposoble thumbs what ya gonna do?!

It's part of her sense of humor. She's not, like, on a crusade or anything. :lookaroun

You know, one has depression, one has an eating disroder, one has social anxiety, one is a know-it all, one is hyperactive, etc...

I guess maybe you'd have to know her and all the struggles her family has been through in order to get the joke :) It's a bit odd to see your life played out by a bunch of talking stuffed animals.

What the heck DOES she like? Psychological disorders are usually just exaggerations of the way normal people act. Pick any memorable character and you'll find a character with issues.

I've always thougth the Pooh characters too babyish. And that Christopher Robin kid? Well, let's just say it wouldn't surprise me if he was a Congressional page who IM'd former Rep. Mark Foley. :lookaroun

But, anyway, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that these characters were assigned mental problems to show children ways in which they can cope with their own problems. Then again, with the epidemic of childhood obesity in high gear, perhaps Pooh isn't providing a good example.

I have just given way too much thought to this. :hammer:

I'll say it again, it's really just a running joke she has. She doesn't ban Pooh from her house or anything like that
