It's April 20th.. Did Pal Mickey 2.0 go on sale?

Thanks guys and gals!
You are this NY'ers link to WDW from far away.

I'm coming down on Sunday for 5 days, and I really want to buy a new PAL. :)

I spoke with aCM in Animal Kingdom on Sunday and she said the new Pals would not be in the parks until May 5th !! She also said that the new ones would be interactive between Pals as well as owners who wore a special pin.

Pal Mickey 2.0 Specifics:

- 25% of the content has been updated
- Additional character greetings, showtime reminders and attraction short wait tips
- New celebration theme park attraction and entertainment tips
- Interactive trivia questions replacing 50% of the jokes
- Increased volume of voice
- 3 additional games (will now have 6)
- 7 sing-alongs
- Interacts with new glow medallions
- Removable tux jacket
- Carrying lanyard
- Rain poncho, pin trading, safari and tourist outfits will be available for sale in summer 2005

any word on a Pal Mickey recycling program? I love my old one but it would be nice if I could trade him in for some credit toward 2.0

Pal Mickey proved entertaining in line for Mission Space when I used him a couple years ago.

Makes a good football, too... ask Rob... :lookaroun

I'm shure of that...


My daughter stripped him to the bone, and now has the "computer" on a belt, extended the antenne wire.. and wrapped it around her lanyard...

Et Voilá! a totally different gizzzmo... :D

Her Pal Mickey, that is to say... if that's what you mean

The feels she's too old for a Pal Mickey, but thinks it a nifty device...
She even made a pouch for it... the only problem was the Infrared wire... so a lanyard was the best solution... it looks a bit like something between a cell phone and a pda now... Slick! She's sometimes very inventive...


I sometimes wonder how... :D

The new one is $65 or $60 for AP holders. They are available at numerous locations and you can find the list here on the Walt Disney World website.

Pal 2.0 was going to be preview released on the 20th. It's official date, yes, is May 5th.

The only interactivity between Pals and such is that they have some new "glow medallion" thingy which is the same type of thing that the magical moments pins did. Not Pal's talking or anything, just a different type of "trigger."

edit: whoops, sorry. meant the magical moments pins not the milennium pins.

That is one way to keep Pal's hands clean.

Some people like to dress him up, others like to strip him down.
