WOO! It's so exciting to make your reservations! It makes it that much more of a reality! I've got my trip all booked for 9 days in June and am staying at the Animal Kingdom (first time). I couldn't afford a Savannah Room (this was pushing my budget as it is).

Can anyone give any recommendations for that resort? Good times to see the animals there in their viewing area (does it get crowded with people looking???)

We are staying there too and we are looking very forward to it. I can't wait! I know there are a lot of different lookout areas to see the different savannah's, so finding one shouldn't be a problem at any time.

I stayed at the AKL for the first 3 nights it was open. We got a Savannah room. It was so great to be able to walk out on th ebalcony and just check out all the animals.

The hotel is amazing itself, as well. The lobby is VERY similar to the Wilderness Lodge, but a bit darker, as I remember. None the less, it's absolutely gorgeous.

MOrning and late afternoon into the night are all good times. Don't forget to ask about the night goggles. You can borrow them to look at the animals at night. There are plenty of places to look at the animals all around the resort.

If you stay up later, you'll find no crowds at all. And the "moonlight" lighting will let you see really good. Also ask when the feeding times are. Last we were there they had one at 10pm-11pm, so I just watched the feeding truck roam around with a pair of binoculars. The animal follow the trucks around.

Have fun!

ANIMALS; BEST SEEN EARLY MORNING OR EARLY EVENING (DAWN/DUSK) FROM ALL THE DIFFERENT VIEWING AREAS ALL AROUND THE RESORT.

INCASE YOU'RE NOT IN TOO BIG OF A HUSTLE TO SEE EVERYTHING I'D SUGGEST A DAY, OR AN AFTERNOON OR SO RELAXING AT THE POOL [ITS PRETTY NICE] AND THE AKL IS A GREAT PLACE TO 'GET AWAY FROM IT ALL' -FOR WHATEVER REASON IT SEEMS SOOO MUCH QUIETER AND RELAXING THAN MANY OF THE OTHER WDW RESORTS.

-BREAFAST AT BOMA IS A MUST-DO! (IT CAN EASILY BE COMPARED TO THE BREAKFAST BUFFET AT THE BEACH CLUB) YUM YUMM!:slurp:

HAVE FUN!
