"it's a small world"

The Sun is wearing a face veil, which is customary for women in some Middle Eastern countries.

You will notice each large room in the attraction represents a different part of the world, usually by continent, and each has it's own perfectly themed Sun.

My fave Sun? Mexican/South American one and the South Seas one. Very cool designs done for those two.

Thanks. It makes a lot of sense when you explain it, but I've never made that connection while I've been on the ride before!

Now that the mess of Splash Mountain was cleaned up in March, IASW is next on the list. It's looked terrible back in December. I really don't want to know how bad it looks now.

It really did, didn't it!? I was thinking the same thing. I rode the ride a couple of times looking for the Mary Blair character and I was upset to see a couple of my favorite characters (boy with boomerang and dingo) were missing! No attempts to cover their bases, just missing figures. The ride also seemed a little dirtier and more ceiling tiles were missing than in the past. I'm hoping it looks better this coming December.

Periodically figures are removed to be refurbed or repaired.
I have gone through the ride several times over the years and once in a while there will be figures missing in some scenes, but they will return eventually.

I figured this should go here for current events but if it needs to be moved i will understand. So today at the Magic Kingdom I got very disappointed and discouraged because "it's a small world" was all messed up. Most of the animatronics weren't working and it even seemed like some were missing. For example, the dancing French ladies moved occasionally not like normal and the Indian ladies that usually dance in front of the Taj Mahal didn't move at all. So I was wondering if any body knew about a big and bad breakdown or a computer going offline or something.....anything.

We were there last week (6/24-30) and most, if not everything seemed to be working. Honestly though, while I do notice a lot of things when it comes to maintenance, there are so many OLD and MOVING parts to this attraction, you have so expect some things to not be working. How can you enjoy the park if you keep looking for the tiniest faults?

Ride broke down today and many, including myself, were stuck on it. Cast Members had to push our boats to an emergency exit. We were stuck for about 40 minutes or so. Everyone was given a Fast Pass good for any ride for our troubles. The whole thing was pretty funny, to be honest. When they finally killed the music (after about 25 minutes) the place erupted in cheers.

I don't think this requires its own thread, but the Nemo ride has gotten a great off hours referb the past few weeks. It looks better than I have seen it since its first year.

1. Tanks screens are no longer boarded and look as good as ever.

2. Kuka arm Angler and Nemo with it are lit better than I have ever seen. And functional.

3. CHUM WORKS!!!!!

4. Maybe I am remembering it wrong, but are there more fish in the first projections with the schools of fish?

5. Picture forming fish in queue now have both projectors working.

Ripple lights in the queue on the boat and pier are not working.

Was Chum just slowly moving forward a few inches or was he popping out quickly?

Wow. I shouldn't be THIS shocked over what should be routine maintenance but where the heck is all of this coming from? What triggered them FINALLY waking up to doing what they should have been doing all along?

Exactly.

Some of the little things take very little work at all. Fixing lights. Making sure small movements work. Repainting.

Seriously, the repainting thing drives me nuts. It takes a kid with a can about 30 minutes after close.
