I also do not like the look of the Kangeroo. The flowers are just wrong. As for the exposed ceiling--I hope that is covered by the time I go in September

Poor kangaroo! And poor us...for having to look at the exposed vents in the ceiling!!! Talk about tacky! Why would they open up the ride unfinished like that?!

As Steve reported in another thread and kindly posted photos of, the ORIGINAL show had an exposed ceiling as well.

Pickyness over an issue like this really does reek of "trying" to find something wrong when it doesn't exist.

Everyone is entilted to their own opinion, but it doesn't mean it has any merit.

No offense meant to you personally, but all of you complainers in general.

Overall I think the IASW rehab was a success....it looks, smells and feels new...I was happy to see the classic attraction get the attention and $$ it deserves. Hopefully other attractions will receive the same. Just my opinion.

Could be worse, the rehab could have put in a million Stitches everywhere to represent everything....sorry still a little bitter at the loss of AE....

GET OVER IT! Its just a kangaroo, and besides how many kangaroos in the wild wear flower pants anyway. I am going to go out on a limb and say, NONE! Some people complain and cry over the stupidest things. Anyone who constantly obsesses over something like that has got problems.

That was super rude and uncalled for!! Everyone on these boards are here to have fun and obsess about all things Disney! If you want to critique something or someone do it in a nice way, if you cant, then you have no business on this board!

Thimblekisses I am definitely with you on this one! I liked the old one MUCH better.

In fact, it inspired me to make stuffed animals to distribute to children on my army travels and I often make patchwork animals since some fabric stores give me scraps for free.

Perhaps during the rehab Disney told the kangaroo mama to get a new look for her and the baby. And this is what she came up with! :p

WOW. That was rude.
Be gone with you.

I think mean people have bigger problems than people who care about floral kangaroos.
If you don't agree with me, say so, but no need to be nasty, for goodness sake.
Bad show on you.

Lucky for you we don't have negative rep points anymore. I never used them, but I almost wanted to just then.

I am writing this with regards to my previous post on this subject, of which I feel terrible about. I apologize for the tone and content (of which I now realize was an extremely dumb thing to say) of the post as well as any emotions of fellow forum members I may have upsetted. I did not intend to get everyone riled up over the post and I personally apologize to thimblekisses for criticizing your post. I am currently finishing up my first year of college and final exams have me completely stressed out. While I am completely stressed out, I should not have taken it out on thimblekisses' post. To thimblekisses, there is nothing wrong with you having favorite things you enjoy, no matter how small or big a detail it is. I have plenty of things I love about Disney World that I would be disappointed or even upset to see changed. Again, I apologize to you thimblekisses for criticizing your post in a negative matter and for any upsetting emotions I may have caused you as well as the rest of the forum members who read the post. This behavior is not like me and I guarantee you will not see this behavior from me in the future, and with that I hope we can put this matter behind us.

I appreciate your apology very much, and it is all certainly behind us now.
Believe me, I understand! I am in my third year of college, and I just finished final exams - they had me stressed out too! I can certainly identify with that. Maybe my exam stress is what had me extra emotional about my kangaroo! :p Thanks again for taking the time to make amends. It is greatly appreciated! Good show!

 I just got a "hankering" for some olive green carpeting!

One of the things that I love about this site is how some of you kow the details by heart! Sadly, I don't get to visit often enough (once per year, if lucky) to remember all of them . . . but, I love reading about such things!
Thimblekisses, hope the kangaroo decor gets changed . . . Now refresh my memory . . . clowns? where? :hammer:
