Chapter 1: Project 1

As our group arrives at WDI, @Brer Panther 's iPod buzzes.

"You there?" Coulson asks us. "Hurry and make your way to the conference room. You're scheduled to meet Chapek for your first Imagineering assignment! He's decided to personally meet every new Imagineering hire now. Kinda weird, but I suppose he sees it as encouraging. Good luck! Coulson out."

"I don't feel so good..." murmurs @Disney Warrior

"Oh, we'll be fine!" says @Shannoninthemagic reassuringly.

“Welcome!” says Bob Chapek jovially as we enter the meeting room. "I haven’t ever seen so many new imagineers hired in one week! Kinda suspicious, actually... Oh well. Hope you’re enjoying your first day on the job!”

“It’s been great so far! We’ve had a lot of practice with things like So You Wa-“ says @wazowski_216 , before @JokersWild quickly steps on his foot.

“What was that? Anyway, our legal department has contacted me with a problem. Apparently, we receive an average of 53 lawsuits a year about Mission: SPACE at Epcot. People are suing us for nausea, internal bleeding, insanity, and some other weird stuff.

So I’ve talked with the board of directors, and we’ve decided we should probably replace Mission: SPACE with something new.”

“Ooooh! What about a new version of Horizons?” asks @monkey92514 .

“Horizons? What’s that? Sounds boring,” commented Chapek, causing several members of our group to gasp, but @b-wolf to nod approvingly.

“We're going to need something brand new! But we still have that Space-830 restaurant or whatever it is next door that we’ll be opening in 2029, so the new attraction will have to stay space-themed. Also, the merchandise department tells me we don’t really make any Mission: SPACE merchandise sales, so throw in some merch to make it marketable. Sound good?” Chapek concludes.​


Mission: REPLACEMENT​

For this challenge, you will have to design a replacement for Mission: SPACE at Epcot. Your new attraction must be a space-themed E-ticket. You may choose to retheme the current attraction, or demolish it and build an entirely new one. You must also include an idea for at least one piece of merchandise based on your new attraction.

DEADLINE:​

This project is due on Monday, July 19th at 11:59 PM EST.
​

TIPS:​

  • Be creative: You have some set constraints for this attraction, but let your creativity explode within those restrictions!​
  • You're working by yourself this round, so it's up to you and you alone to ensure that your attraction is top-notch.​
  • Have fun with it!!!​

Go ahead, but I’ll clarify something about how the game works really quick before anyone gets too into an idea.

So with the exception of Lemon Rounds, your goal is to take the somewhat limiting constraints of the prompt and produce a fantastic project. (Not that Among Us wouldn’t be a good project, just I can’t see it being too realistic. 😅) So I’d argue against going too cringe-worthy with your actual submission (unless, of course, it’s a Lemon Round, in which case being super cringey is good.)

Then again, I know you’re kinda known for the cringe-worthy prompts. *ahem* More Pooh Talk *ahem*
