Trip Report It’s broken. A Loco Christmas TR!

Hello everyone!

We just got back yesterday from our weeklong stay at WDW and as promised, I am here to deliver a full blown loco_driver TR. I have about a million pictures to sort through still, but we have enough to get started. Let’s do this!

When: December 4-11

Who: Me and the wife A, or Mrs. Loco if you will. Pickle the dog would not be making the trip.

Where: Split stay between OKW and Riviera.

With all the formalities out of the way, let’s do it to it!

Day 1 - Sunday 12/5

There was a large group of high schoolers staying at our hotel, but if they were noisy we didn’t notice. We got a solid 11 hours of sleep!

We were bright eyed and ready to go!

We made it over to OKW in no time at all and boarded a bus for Epcot shortly afterwards.

We had some time to kill before rope drop.

First stop of the day was TT. We also did Test Track!

The family in front of us in line had two little girls. They each wanted to design their own car, so A and I let one of them design ours for us.

We didn’t end up in the same car, so I guess she’ll never know how she did.

Test Track took up most of our early entry time. We made our way through the construction site to the other side of future world neighborhood marketplace or whatever I’m supposed to call it.

Anyways we found Joy out by imagination.

Day 1 continued.

The park was officially open to all guests now. Soarin was showing a 15 minute wait, so we headed for the land pavilion. A quick look at the standby line pouring out into sunshine seasons told us that the wait was in fact not 15 minutes. We decided to do LWTL instead, since it was a walk on. The Christmas overlay is a nice touch.

After we learned what it meant to truly be living with the land, we watched awesome planet because it was starting, and we’re terrible at touring plans. But there is a carpet wall, so it’s a win.

This relic is located at the theater exit. It still works!

Day 1 continued.

We left the land pavilion at around 11 and joined the masses headed for WS. Our plan for the morning was to do the Christmas cookie stroll.

Epcot looks nice once you get past the at the front of the park.

Our first cookie was this gingerbread man. He’s decorated nicely. That’s about all the nice things I have to say about it.
