Trip Report It’s a Long Way Down Holiday Road... my first attempt at a Live report!

Let’s get this started, shall we? :)

Jack be nimble... Jack be quick... ohhhhh oh oh...

My family has a long tradition of blaring Holiday Road at the beginning of any road trip but especially to Walt Disney World! If my son was going we would do this at the gas station, filling up, windows rolled down whilst wearing Mickey ears way, way, far away from Disney. We get some pretty hysterical looks from people. This time it is just Clark and Ellen, so we will be blaring it in the car as we leave the driveway in a few hours. (Mickey Ears will still be on) :D

We drive mostly at night, so I will sleep. I am a horrible rider, worse than a 2 year old as any of my family will tell you. So my hubby hopes he can at least make it to Florida before I wake up and begin my complaining of Oh, my gaaa, are we there yet... etc. I usually wake up in Georgia though lol because, I am uncomfortable and to be honest too excited to sleep!!

Right now, I am bored and counting down the hours while he sleeps! Packed and ready to go, worse than waiting for Christmas morning.

This will be my first attempt at a Live-ish report- so bear with me.

For those that didn’t read pre-trip report, we are staying at Coronado Springs til 9-11. Free dining so lots of food pictures. I am obsessed with taking photos of Disney food.

I will update here and there as we go, and I am awake. Hopefully I can get another beautiful shot of going through the gate as the sun comes up, there is not a prettier sight to me!

See ya real soon!! ;)

So thoughts for the day... AK was not very crowded at all. We did not have to use FP for anything, except FoP. Which by the way was as awesome as ai remembered. That ride is simply amazing in every way. I enjoyed Pandora more with lighter crowds, but that ride is the only thing there other than snapping a few pics that we go there for.
I love the rest of AK, so much, the Safari, the trails, the music, everything.

I love the characters obviously. I am a 3 year old, and my 3 year old heart, was so excited to meet Launchpad! My son said we can no longer be friends though, because he was on our top list to meet. Lol
We did EE, the 3 times, the meet and greets, Dinosaur, the Safari, ate at Flame Tree, chilled at Dawa Bar, did FoP, and then headed to the resort to shower, chill and head to the Poly for Ohana!

Of course, I had to have a Backscratcher at the temp Tambu Lounge first. ;)
Ohana was amazing as always and I ate entirely too much. (Like always)
We actually came back to the resort to chill, and enjoy the big room, just us two.

Pics to follow-

The educational ride, as we call it. Long story, but how my son talked his cousin into getting on this ride lol

And I always, always get shot by the cannon with my baby boy. I did it anyway, to send it to him.

Wow—you weren’t kidding when you said it wasn’t crowded. I couldn’t believe that line(or lack there of) for Kilimanjaro Safaris!! Good for you!! I hope it stays that way for you!!
It has been really nice. Reminds me of how September used to be!! Very little rain too, that has been crazy. I haven’t gotten soaked once, not that I am complaining. 😬 It is probably because I remembered an umbrella lol. And thank you I hope it stays this way too.

Way low and manageable crowds at MK this morning until we left at 1:30, at Epcot now! I stink at updating live, we just go too much! Headed back to MK for HEA this evening after world showcasing it a bit, and back to Cape May. :) Update when we get back to Resort. I found one of my Disney birds. :)

Following along. I booked pofq for just myself an hubby in November then kids (grown up) wanted to come along so went ahead and booked. I have to admit i secretly like the fact they still want to holiday with us :)
Oh, my son wanted to go, but his stepson started school. It is awesome when they still want to go. His wife isn’t quite the go go at Disney like we are. I think it was shell shock for both of us. Lol. It changes when you add, family that are not used to the craziness of our trips.

I agree with that. We met up with my sister and her husband when we were over last year and they found the parks overwhelming. Luckily they were only at wdw for a few days then moving on to Charleston to stay with friends. We come such a long way for our wdw fix so we like to pack in lots and lots of experiences :joyfull:

Continuing with the post above, we go like crazy at WDW. Once our kids hit say 9 and 12, they wanted to go like crazy. We still do, we slowed down with the grand baby- but if it was just us and our kids, we went until we dropped. No sweat at all to do 4 parks in one day. We still go pretty crazy, from open to close most days and a couple of parks and resort visits. Even knowing we are coming back with the APs for Christmas lights for a few days and then in May... we go, go, go- here. I can sleep, rest or lay in the pool when I get home (At the beach I lay in a chair all week, and walk the beach, while he fishes. All relax mode)
I am gonna post highlights here, for the live part, but will pick up with a full report when we get home. When we actually do stop, I am too tired to upload and post. Thank you guys for following though and I will still update.

MK was slow, it rained on the monorail ride to Epcot, but was over when we got there.
Rides were like 5-15 mins at MK, the Mine Train was 35. We walked on Buzz, Little Mermaid then hit CoP, and Monsters. Ate at BoG, looked like they were taking walk ups, but not sure.

Epcot was not bad at all either. Frozen was 35. We had TT fp and when it rained it changed to multiple. I thought it was good for anything so we went to Frozen since I had boycotted it so far. It was not, but the guy saw our buttons and said you know what go ahead. Very nice. The ride is well done. I hate Frozen.... and the ride was fine before, but it is well done. I enjoyed it. We did Figgy, and Nemo too. Saw Glass Tiger, my 13 year old self, from 1986 sang every word to Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone..... or my heart will break! The only song I knew. They were great though! We had a few snacks before, then ate at Cape May again... because, crab legs. I hoped to catch HEA by going back by monorail but we just did not get seated on time or done early enough. That was okay though, great day and tons of fun!

I do want to point out on the straw thing too, we haven’t been anywhere counter service, that they are not out, or table service has automatically given them to us.

My pictures are not wanting to load! Will try again. WiFi has totally stunk down here, like always. I would not be able to function if ours was as slow at home as it is here. :-/
