Hey everyone. Welcome to the second Version 2.0 ISTCrew Update. Today, I had Tifani tag along with me, and we went everywhere, with the exception of Epcot. I'll do a park update first, with Hurricane Jeane damage updates at the end.
Magic Kingdom Updates
~Not sure how new it is, but the Tomorroland Indy Speedway cars have new steering wheels.
~Here is the Stitch's Great Escape logo sign:
~Since the old Tomorrowland stage is now gone, I guess this is where performances will take place from now on, if a stage is needed:
Animal Kingdom Updates
~One of the fake cars in Dino Rama (by the McDonalds french fry billboard ) has been removed.
~All the lawn chairs and decorations that were on top of the Resturaunt-asaurus roof have been removed. I'm not sure though if it was related to the hurricane or not.
~The path from Dinoland to Asia (and vice versa) has still not reopened.
~The new lighting system at Festival of the Lion King is great. It really makes a difference in the beginning, and the part with the flame twirler.
MGM Updates
~The minute hand is missing from the clock on top of the Muppet Vision 3-D tower. (The one with the big balloon on it).
~The Villians In Vouge shop was being repainted, as was the Pooh store on Sunset Blvd. Mickey's of Hollywood was also having some paint work done.
~While on the Backlot Tour, the guide explained that, because of the hurricane, the blue tarp was removed from all the fences surrounding the Stunt Show construction site (before, the tarps blocked your view). You can get a much better view of the whole area now.
~Many trees were trimmed down in the TOT queue. As a result, some parts of the queue seem bare, but you can get a much better view of the whole front of the tower now.
~One of the "Stop/Go" street light signs on Sunset BLVD had it's "go" directional broken off.
~The big light up marquee in RNRC (The one right before the launch), was not working today.
Downtown Disney Updates
~The napping tourist on the bench (made of LEGOS) out front of the Lego store has been removed.
~The small merry-go-round by the Pooh store and Earl of Sandwich was getting cleaned this morning, and all of the panels (dipicting different seens from the Marketplace) were lying all over the ground.
Now for the Hurricane Jeane Updates
Here is a picture collage thing of all the damage. I thought it would be easier to combine them.
1)a few twisted letters on the Marketplace sign
2)a broke billboard in Dinoland, at Animal Kingdom
3)Part of the New York Street Facade backdrop torn off.
Plus, a few street signs were down. Part of the "D" in the "Welcome to Walt Disney World" sign was broken off. The HUGE arch that serves as the entrance as you are driving into Wilderness Lodge was taken down (not positive that it was due to the hurricane). Alot of the Trees at Saratoga Springs have been uprooted, due to the fact they are still new, and not many roots were holding them into the ground.
Anyway, thats about it. Any questions or photo requests, feel free to ask. I'll post some more pictures in my album later.
