Hey everyone. I have returned from my vacation, and I have another update. Today, I met up with Alex (1ststarIC2Night from the boards). I have a few updates, so lets let.them.roll...
We started at Animal Kingdom...
--Everest is getting taller and taller. I giant steel tower is going up in the middle, and you can start to see how the mountain will take shape.
--The waterfall on the backside of the Tree of Life is still inactive.
--The extended queue on Primeval Whirl was being used today, the first time I have ever seen it like that. Waits were over an hour for almost everything in the park.
Tired of the people and heat, we headed over to Epcot...
--The construction wall that has been in front of Mission:Space for the longest...has finally been removed. That's not the only good news...It was also repainted...a light shade of blue. It used to be orange, and with the change to blue, I'm wondering how long the rest of the orange color scheme will stay.
--Part of the Oddesea (sorry for the spelling), but I'm talking about that building has been closed forever, by Test Track. A construction wall was put up around it, which makes me wonder if something is actually being done to it.
--Part of the American Stage was also being refurbed.
After that, we headed to Magic Kingdom...
--Construction walls are all over Tomorrowland. We have Stitch, Tomorrowland Stage, and now, the Speedway. A small area has been walled off, with concrete and everything dug up. It looks like the perfect little spot for the rumored Tomorrowland Speedway Fastpass.
--20K is almost completely demolished. Ripped up concrete and everything is laying in the now empty lagoon. The show building is almost completely gone too. The "Fantasyland Character Festival" sign was taken off the old 20k Load station.
--I also noticed how they painted the scaffolding around the castle to match the castle bricks. From afar it looks alright, but up close, it's funny. It looks like a joke.
--The refurb of the Ariel's Grotto area is done too. The big tent covering was repainted and looks great.
--Also in Fantasyland, the old Skyway station was walled off. Finally, work may be beginning on changing that area around.
Lot of rehabs everywhere. I left early today, and tomorrow, me and Tifani (yea, she didn't disappear) are planning on meeting Alex and his Sister at Universal. Pictures of todays events should be up later.
