The Oddssey Center is located on the outer edge of the park, right between Test Track and Mexico. Also, if i am not mistaken, isn't the center still used for First Aid/baby care Center/Lost Children? I could have swore the answer was yes, but the big part of the building has been rotting away for several years now. I hope they do something fun and worthwhile. They could put in an exibit on Epcot's History! I know i have said it before, and i'll say it agian, Epcot history is facanating, and a great story, has much more than the other parks, it was Walt's Dream and was to be his pride and joy. After they figured that the city was impractical for some many reasons, EPCOT was turned into a theme park. And how that Theme Park has lived up to it's promise for many years, and that is to entertain as well as to entertain. Soarin', TT, M:S, Body Wars, Mealstrom, and the other attractions prove this with flying colors. It's history is not all glamerous, but still interesting none the less. Of coarse, the building may just become, something else, like a fast food restarunt with American Food (which is really needed) there really isn't another one other than The Sunshine Season Food Fair (which is being de-moded, with the addition of Soarin') and The Food center at America, plus the electric Umbrella, and the pasta place on the other side of innoventions has been closed for many years now. So, i would say the restarunt, or maybe something to do with the 50th of Disneyland. Don't know for sure, but at least something is being done with it. :sohappy: :sohappy: :wave:

An Epcot history center would be awesome. They could have recordings of the original narration of SSE and maybe even a Horizons orange smell station.

By the way, don't you mean educate as well as entertain?

Maybe they'll move the character meal to the Oddessy while The Land is closed.

It does seem like a whole lot of refurbs going on in the summer.

The Electric Umbrella can get quite crowded at lunch time. And other than the Garden Grill and Coral Reef there are no other places to eat in Future World. It would be really nice if they reopened the Odyssey for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Not everyone wants to eat a big meal for lunch (Like those offered at the Garden Grill and Coral Reef). Especially if they plan on spending alot of money at a World Showcase resturant for Dinner. I don't know I'm sure they could get around opening the Odyssey, but it sure would be nice for crowd control.

Sorry, it is Educate, not inform. I looked it up. lol. Thanks for pointing that out.

yes the center did used to be a restarunt, as i just learned after looking at an old online scan of a EPCOT park map. not that long ago, it was a restarunt. only time will tell on this project, although things progressing as we have heard. I can't wait until we hear what is going on!!!! Good to hear that things are progressing and new projects are coming up as others near completion.

Great update. Looks like there's lots of work going on out there. I've gone to wdw since the 80's, but I dont' remember ever going inside the Odyssey. I think an Epcot history center would be great. Or even a WDW history center.

Sorry the pictures weren't up sooner. I fell asleep last night, and went to Universal today (with Alex and Tifani) and wasn't able to get on the computer. Pictures will be up in the next 15 minutes.

By the way, the next update should be on Thursday, when I will also be meeting up with Alex and his sister to go to the parks. So look for one Thursday night.

(Which might very well happen if there's bad weather that night!)
