What are your tips for getting the cheapest airfare? This trip my kiddo will not be a baby so there goes the lap baby for free!

I'm looking for a Monday -Monday trip from NYC to MCO - Is Monday still the cheapest day to fly?

Thanks for any tips and info!!!

That certainly was not even close to the case for us......I hope you were being sarcastic.

We are flying $227 round trip per person out of Albany, NY with six of us flying. We (me, my wife, best friend and his gf) each checked multiple times a day and jumped on the low fares. ($109 each on the way down and $118 on the way back).

$250 non-stop HPN to MCO is a good deal for someone who lives in the county. It's a real hassle to get to the other three NYC area airports.

Depending on the airline though, the 3 NYC airports aren't even in the equation. Southwest is among those that don't use those as connecting airports.

Hey there all, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I spoke with Jet Blue this evening and they are going to start imposing a penalty of $75.00 to credit a change in airfare unless it is done within the first few days of purchasing the ticket!!! The lady I spoke with was unsure if it was 10 days or 14 days but she stated those two numbers. This penalty will only affect tickets purchased on or after August 14th. Sorry everyone!!! Marie

Has anyone ever done the rewards back program with their disney visa for airfare? Is it worth getting the points back on the flights or save them up for the trip,

We have found that flying out on a Wednesday and coming home on a Tuesday has been the best thing for us. But every airline is different. We fly Spirit out of AC. It was the cheapest... even paying for our bags and seats, we saved so much more than booking with Southwest, Delta, US Air, etc...

For 3 of us non-stop, roundtrip the total was $479. I remember looking at the Monday flights and it was more but not as much as the weekends. It is very tricky. One day you will find a great price, so when you do grab it! It will be gone before you can even blink. Last year and this year I found such cheap airfare early on (April for November trips) and it was gone within 2 days!
