the bottom should be wide, all the Disney mountains have wide bottoms if you're gonna put a ride in it, if you look at real volcanoes they all have wide bottoms, if you want it really tall we can make it look like the volcano from the incredibles.

Yes, you're right...

Edit: Nevermind :)

Another thing we need to discuss is the climax of the ride...

Personally I think it would be cool to do it a little like DLP's Space Mountain, with a power launch up the side of the volcano and then a steep drop down into it...

It should be so, that when you reach the top and you go down, you can for a sec look out over the entire park...

Alrighty, I'll make a new sketch as soon as I get home, which would be around 6pm eastern, expect a new version by 6.15 or earlier depending on how slow my scanner is by then.

wannabe walt --> You didn't like that type of volcano, when I talked to you, lol...

The pictures you were using as reference didn't make it look like a good idea. However, stitchcastle can make just about anything look good!

Still, you shouldn't just be swept away by his drawing skills, but be able to relate to the exact content...

Not just Adventure ISLE, but AdventureLAND. The place looks so tiny. The Blue Bayou doesn't even connect to PotC. And the seating in the giant theater that houses Pirates! ...maybe it should be a bit more... hidden... we dont want to see the back of the seating. It's not acceptable in the Magic Kingdom, maybe in the Studios... but not the Kingdom

sorry for the delay, the traffic was horrid, here you go:

I've added a bit of queue elements with runes marking a sort of "warning" as well as what remains of an ancient temple with waterfalls

Here is my, again badly drawn :), proposal for how Adventureland should be composed:

Wannabe Walt and KentB pointed out that Adventure Island needs to be bigger and it does indeed... so that's one change to keep in mind...

I also mentioned that Captain Hook's Pirate Ship should be a tad larger as well. Also, Skull Rock is WAY too far from Hook's ship as well. Here are a couple of links that should be helpful:

Other than that, I would say that your Adventureland map looks great! In fact, this is probably THE best-desgined Adventureland I have ever seen, in both the actual Disney theme parks and in the various proposals here on WDWMagic's Imagineer forum!!!!! :) :D :sohappy: :sohappy: :animwink:

One more thing about Captain Hook's Pirate Ship, which I mentioned earlier in our MSN chat. I suggested having Peter Pan and Cpt. Hook duel each other on the hour at select times during the day. After the dueling, we could have a meet & greet with the characters from Peter Pan on the ship! :animwink:

ImaginEAR --> Don't worry too much about the size and such, it's was merely to show how the different things was placed...

About the seating for Pirates!... well, I can see the problem, but couldn' it easily be solved by theming the back of it?

Stitchcastle --> I know you're gonna hate me now, but I actually edited my previous post saying your original Fire Mountain was fine... perhaps the new one is too steep, lol :)

But still lovely work...

Well, I guess the attraction list is done...

Apparently it was pointed out to me yesterday that we need more dining options, so we made the blue bayou (new name) into a fastfood restaurant and added another fastfood restaurant to the hook ship...

But should we complete all the list for the other lands as well or should we continue to work on concepts and descriptions of AL?

We need to finish AL completly, then move on to other lands. (I think we should do Frontierland or Fantasyland next). I started a concept for Adventure Island today, but all I have is the two islands and a bridge connecting them. I will try to finish it up soon.

oh! oh! please do Fantasyland next! :D

I am all for starting Fantasyland next. Fantasyland is, for all practical purposes, THE land that defines the magical spirit and theme of the Magic Kingdom as a whole. Walt Disney himself even said something along those lines when creating Disneyland over half a century ago! :animwink:

Well, we could, if everybody feel like it, skip right to Fantasyland now and put AL on hold...

But I think it's very important that when we set a goal, we complete it. So if we start Fantasyland or whatever, we do it 'till we're completely done...

I'm gonna leave you guys to the shops and restaurants and stuff, i'm not really much for that part of the process, I'm more of a rides and attractions person.
