I'm thinking of visiting Universal during Halloween Weekend, including October 31st. People frequently refer to Halloween Horror Nights as the best haunted house event and I expect it draws crowds. What affect does this have on the crowds at IOA, especially during Halloween weekend?
Thanks!

Halloween weekend is actually one of the least crowded weekends of the event. Even during the busier times, Islands only gets some of the run-off from HHN crowds - most of the latter arrive exclusively at night for the event only. You should be fine!

Basically because its a whole other admission price..most (unless they are APers) will just skip the day and do only the HHN event.

We visited US and IoA on October 23rd, and HHN was being held that night. The parks were extremely uncrowded by day. Throngs of people were preparing to enter for the special event at night after we left at park closing though.
