Is your smartphone water resistant or water proof. Think FL downpours...

I went through the ice two winters ago up to my armpits in freezing water. After drying out thoroughly my iPhone has been perfect since. Cellphones are really resistant. In a Florida downpour it would survive, but then the easiest thing is to not use it while standing in the rain.

I have the Lifeproof case for my Iphone. I put the case on the day I got the phone which was a little over a year ago. I never never purposly bought it in the water but glad I had it when It had some accidents. Its been droped in the mudd and ran over by a tractor mower, 8 foot drops, dropped in the water, I always bring it out in the rain and the phone looks like it did when I pulled it out of the factory box. I could easily reset the phone and pass it off as new LOL. I have no regrets, the case takes some getting used to but it has saved me about 3 phones and the phone still has its origional glass :-).

I have lived in Florida since before the invention of the cell phone and have had once since before the Motorola Startac was considered the cutting edge of technology. I have never had one go out due to rain.

My wife started as a postal carrier about 4 weeks ago. In that 4 weeks she has delivered through 4, hour plus thunderstorms including tropical storm Andrea and her Smartphone remained unharmed.

My level of worry about using my smartphone in the rain at Disney.....less than zero.

If I'll need my smartphone to enjoy the Shark reef at TL I will have some concern.

My DD manages a waterpark and there are expensive cases for situations like that. ;)

Upside now, those little moisture bars inside the phones that indicate your warranty is void due to water exposure isn't going to hold water anymore. The manufacture of that component has admitted that it will indicate wet even when the phone is just in a humid environment like a bathroom or backyard. Good news for all of us.

Yep, that is the one my DD has at the WaterPark. It is clunky and awkward indeed.

You're kidding right? Why does someone other than you have to be responsible for what goes on in your life?

You could always do this...

https://www.liquipel.com/shop/

Treatment for a phone costs $60. You ship it to them, and within a few days you get it back treated.

It's been tested by a lot of tech reviewers, and I've only heard glowing results. Here's video of it in action.

Can I get my shoes, socks, and feet covered in this stuff? Hell just cover me completely and the heck with rain storms....:D

FYI This is a joke post... Nobody now a day give a flying Dumbo if their smartphone dies, they just get another one. There extremely cheap to buy, and if you get the extra protection plans, you never have to pay to have it replaced....... EVER!:)

Oh good. Sarcasm doesn't come across well on the internet as most people are just stupid.
