Is wdw worth visiting for teens/adults

I've been considering planning a surprise trip to wdw for me and my two sisters and after getting a rough idea of how much it would cost for all three of us to go I started wondering if a disney trip would be worth it for 3 teens/adults or if it'd be better to save some money and just not go. Around the time i'm planning to have the trip I'll be 22 and my sisters will be 17 and 16. Whats your opinion, is disney worth it as an adult or did we miss our chance of really enjoying it.

FYI while my sisters love roller coaster and thrill rides I'm a bit paranoid about them and scared of heights so i probably wouldn't enjoy that aspect of the parks as much as they would Lol also, bc my sisters are still in HS my parents wont allow them to have a job so I'd be paying for all three of us to go not just myself.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts :)

You guys are the perfect ages for it honestly. Sure younger kids love it, but ages 22, 17, and 16? You guys would have a ball. You guys would not only appreciate Magic Kingdom but also Epcot and everything it has to offer including the food.

Also, Flight of Passage at Pandora in Animal Kingdom will change your life. It's that good. The only rides I could see you maybe having an issue with is Rockin' Rollercoaster and Hollywood Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios. Everything else you'd be good with. Also, if you get motion sick easily then do the GREEN side of Mission Space instead of the ORANGE side at Epcot. Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom is a rollercoaster but it's pretty tame. Nothing upside down or inversions, it's just fast with the turns.

You guys should go, there's so much more to Disney World than the rides. The shows, the food, the parades, the entire atmosphere is incredible.

If you don't like rollercoasters or high level thrill rides, then you may not get as much out of going to Universal Studios, so WDW would be perfect for you.

Disney just for kids? Seriously? When Walt Disney envisioned Disneyland, he saw it as a place where not only little kids could have fun, but their parents as well. Same goes with Disney World. I am 46 years old, and go often just by myself and have lots of fun. The important thing is to not be jaded or have a bad attitude about it, an attitude like, "I'm not going to enjoy this. It's for little kids!" If you don't have that attitude and do have an open mind, you should enjoy Disney.

You are asking the wrong crowd for an objective opinion on that subject.;)

In all honesty, it depends on the person. If all someone wants to do is go on roller coasters that make you go mach 2 with your hair on fire over and over again that WDW might not be the most ideal place. Busch Gardens or something similar might be a little more to their liking.

However, if they are still kids at heart and enjoy the less thrilling aspects then WDW can be heaven on earth.

I have been taking my kids to WDW pretty much since birth and while they all love thrill ride, they still love WDW more than any place else and they are 25, 23 and 16.

We have taken our nephews and nieces to WDW for their HS graduation presents for the past several years. Most live near Kings Island which is a BIG coaster park and some have season passes. That said they love WDW. Some are out of college married etc. First thing they ask is when do we go back? The last nephew's trip is 12/19. We may have up to 20-24 going.
Will your sister's enjoy it? Only one way to find out.

We are in our late 60's and 70!!!! Gasp! And we absolutely love going to WDW. Some of our friends and family don't understand it, but we don't care. WE have fun, eat good food, feel like a kid again, forget the outside world, see attractions, watch incredible shows(talking about FOTLK in AK), shop at DS. There is so much to see and do, it never gets old. For the teenagers, and you, there are water parks and pools at the resorts, mini golf, bowling and theatres at DS. I would bet that they have a great time too!

Especially at your ages it is soooo worth it. Theres so much of a variety of things to do that you wont have enough time to do it all. You dont need to do one thrill ride or coaster ride and youll still enjoy plenty. Youre all young enough that once you experience Disney for the first time, youll have many many years left to return to do the things youll miss. AAAND at the age your sisters are I'd suggest they should do errands or small jobs to at least earn their own money to contribute to their snacks, souvenirs etc. Its very unfair for your parents to expect you to be paying their entire way.

100% agree with this. I go solo and I also go with my family. My teens love WDW and would love to move to the area to go more often. Either you have what I call a "Disney heart" or you don't. WDW is one of those amazing places that you can go and feel like a kid again but you have to be open to it. If you are jaded and cynical and have the mind set that it is just for kids or silly, then it is better to go somewhere else.

It's worth will really depend on your ability to let go and have fun. Some people (regardless of their age) can't accept that Mickey is standing in front of them, or that they are flying through the skies of London in a pirate ship just won't get Disney. There are lots of HS/College aged kids that love Disney, just look on Instagram/Twitter/Tumblr/whatever the cool kids use now.
