Almost every time I go to Epcot I see the same guy in a mobility scooter and it has at least 500 led light bulbs on it. I always thought he was selling light up products but last time I went it looked more like he was just there to watch illuminations. Another thing that made me thing he was a worker was that I always see him talking to a worker. I dont know why but it makes me so curious.

There are many people who live nearby and visit the parks frequently, so it's not surprising that they get to know the CMs (if that's what you meant by workers.)

Does he wear a Disney nametag?

I've seen the person you're talking about, and I'm pretty sure he's just a Guest. I suppose it's possible that he's a seasonal Cast Member, but when he's there in his technicolor wheelchair watching illuminations, he's visiting as a Guest.

I couldn't tell. For some reason it looked like he was in uniform one time

That guy is living the life LOL. I cant wait until I can do that if illuminations even exists.

I've seen pictures of him before in some "infamous guests" thread. It was either here or the DIS, I forget. He's along the lines of Linda Skywalker and the doll lady.

Yah hes a guest, I called him 'Spectro-Man'. He would come up to my cart sometimes and ask to have some of the popcorn that had fallen on the counter, which i would say no to because its not sanitary. Sometimes Id give guests a box of popcorn as a magical moment, but was kinda over it if he came up and flat out asked for free popcorn...

Funny this thread came up, I actually saw him at the Apple store at Millenua this weekend. I did a double take when I saw his wheelchair - good to know he's a Mac guy. :-) I see him at Epcot practically every time I'm there.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I've seen him before! Kinda' socially questionable to ask for free popcorn, though....

Hope his light show has an easy off-switch when he goes on dark rides... (And you thought flash photos were annoying... Imagine being in the ToT Library with *that* going on...) :lookaroun

Its okay if he turns that thing on at the ending of Spaceship Earth. Speaking of flashes... I saw a guy using a real bright professional grade flash on spaceship earth and later on he was standing on the fountain stage and got yelled at. At least I think it was the same guy.

He probably does a wheel chair light show we dont know about.

Hmm... no.
Given the evidence on this thread, it's pretty clear that he is NOT a CM.

I think your right, he's just doing what will probably be doing when we all retire someday. Not a bad gig at all.

I might have to check this infamous thread out LOL.
