college was out today with good reason, over 2 feet fell over here in Newport but its out again tomorrow. Go figure.

Wow! 2 days! We had one day of cancelled classes because an ice storm knocked the power out all across campus.

I wish I didn't have classes today, it was a very cold walk today to class, it was 4 degrees with a -10 wind chill! That sucked!

We have had 3 snow storms since Wednesday. VCU closed at 4:00 Wednesday because of the heavy snow that was falling. What normally takes me 20 minutes to get home turned out to be an hour (two if you count the wait for my ride to get there). Henrico County, Goochland County, Chesterfield County and the City of Richmond public schools were all closed Thursday, Friday, Monday and again tomorrow but VCU was open normal schedule. The roads were horrible, the sidewalks were slick from ice but still they were open. FutureCEO, you got lucky! I wish VCU was closed from the storms but no luck

Here's a picture of the reason why we were out of classes for 3 1/2 days. The storm was on Wednesday, Jan 5 and classes were cancelled that day after 5:00 p.m. We lost power between 1 and 2 on Thursday morning and they actually sent the entire campus home (of those who could leave). So, we had Thursday, Friday, and Monday classes off. It was insane.
