So you ask, people say no, then you do it anyway? Why did you bother asking in the first place, other than to draw attention to it?

It's amazing how the typed word gets twisted with emotions.

I really just wanted people to vote for themselves, not just a few individuals reponses and feelings. That is what I meant to say Ogryn.

Ah, it's okay. I thought that you just didn't see what was in Mickey's hands. Please accept this basket of fruit as condolences.

/didn't know how to end the post

I can understand where you are coming from, but the fact of the matter is the Administrator of the site found it offensive and he always has the last word.

Steve is really good at cutting us slack when it comes to posting (because sometimes we can get carried away) , but he set up rules and if you want to be a member you have to follow them, no arguing. *shrugs*

Sigh. There. Now you've done it. You've gone and upset the wife. Now I'll have to calm her down by buying her something new and shiny and sparkly. Like a diamond necklace. :animwink:

I think the point being that Steve doesn't remove things willy-nilly. If it gets removed it is done on purpose, and you have to accept that.

Seeing that you have now put it back up a third time, maybe you can't, but I think you'll soon see that some people's patience may run out very soon.

Have a nice day Mikol

Well, it has been edited somewhat. This version may get by. *shrugs*

Well, one could argue that he looks as if he's in love, or that Mickey looks like he needs a couple of weeks in the Betty Ford clinic.

You seem to want an overwhelming response to whether the avatar is offensive.

The avatar is offensive. You should get rid of it.

In fact, I am uncomfortable with it in even in its current state with Mickey's hand empty.

I find it neither cute nor funny. Without too much searching you can find websites that "alter" Disney trademarked characters. Even though it is 1000 kinds of illegal, I suspect Disney doesn't take the time to pursue these deviants in court because it is like trying to catch jell-o in a net.

Simply put, find another avatar.
Oh yeah--and grow up while you're at it.

Thank you for this advice. I'm not sure if I would have made it throught the day without it. I'm changed and humbled now.

And I got this avatar from http://www.johnswdwpage.com/avatars.htm

If you continue to do something you've been asked not to do anymore, then try to get support for your cause that you don't get, you've lost any right to be snippy, there, kiddo.

Don't like the answers? Then don't keep asking the question.
There are, give or take, eleventy kajillion Disney avatars you can download or create yourself. If the one you like is causing any consternation on this site, start your own.

OK this isnt a game. I have more interesting things to do than to monitor your avatar. Either you be sensible and grown up about this, or leave this forum.

You should be. I don't think I've ever seen Yellow Shoes get angry before. You need to realize that you're not making too many friends. You haven't made a very good first impression.

This is a great web site with a lot of super nice people. (I'm not one of them) But you'll never find that out if you keep the attitude you have now, because you won't be around very long.

Just a little advice.

Take Care,

Is the current Avatar unacceptable?

My apologies if I made anyone angry. Was yellow shoes angry? Is a silly post like this worth getting angry for? I'm certainly not mad at anyone.

Mikol I still find your avatar offensive as you can still tell there is something in Mickey's hand and you can tell something is up by the appearance in his eyes. I suggest you stop with the games and just put a new avatar up, one that we don't have to ask if it's offensive or not.

Thanks!

The reason a lot of the people here (myself included) don't like your previous avatar, is that we are concerned about the integrity of the company as a whole. Even moreso, we're concerned with the integrity of the characters. (not only that, I find drug referenced in general to be offensive). Kids frequently visit this site, and Mickey doing such a thing is quite obviously offensive and out of character.

As for your current avatar, those who have seen your first will automatically connect it with the first one, so might I respectfully ask you to change it to something completely unrelated?

You can go see for yourself that is an unaltered avatar from the site mentioned above.

That was cut from a movie in which Minnie kissed Mickey if I recall.

I've done NO modifications to the image and the line you see is simply showing the movement of Mickey's hand.
