Is this a contract violation?

Disney actually gets quite a bit of its chocolate from Harry London Chocolates, a small candy company here in Ohio. My band took a tour of the factory and they gave us this info. They also showed us several Disney candy molds, such as the chocolate character heads on a stick and a chocolate CD along with the packaging. I was really surprised at this information. I had always assumed that the chocolate was by Nestle, but evidentaly not. They claimed to supply about 80% of the chocolate sold in the merchandise locations. After I got home, I checked the back of a box of chocolates I got in the parks, and all it said was "Made in USA."

It is Nestle at the Land, right? I think that specific area is what Nestle sponsors.
Yes, but Disney uses products for its Sponsors in the parks as well. For instance, Kodak is the sponsor of HISTA and JIYI, and Disney only sells Kodak film. Also, when ExxonMobil was the sponsor of UoE, Disney's gas stations were ExxonMobil gas stations. Also you know that delicious Hot Chocolate they have in the hotels? Neslte Rich Chocolate mix. You can find it in your local supermarket.

I like chocolate, but the stuff that Hershey passes for chocolate in America just does not do it for me. (can't comment on the syrup though).

Whenever I visit my sister in Boston MA. I have to bring over a supply of British Chocolate bars. My Brother in law will then take a large slab of the Cadburys chocolate to his office at which point everyone there becomes his best friend.

Once you have had Cadburys or Galaxy you will wonder why you ever liked Hershey.

I was fond of Yorkie bars when visiting the UK years ago.

And, technically, Hershey's syrup is chocolate flavored anyway; look closely at the label in the photo. I like kisses and Hershey bars (especially dipped in Jif), since I grew up with it, but Lindt, Droste', and, yes, Nestle is of higher quality. My understanding from a book on the histories of Hershey and Mars is that most of the world looks down on Hershey as being too sour.

I agree with you Barnum42! My family takes in exchange students from the UK all the time and a favorite of theirs to bring is chocolate. :slurp: Cadburys is like you said much sweeter than Hersheys and all in all better! I live 40 minutes away from Hershey PA and have taken quite a few trips there.. the air smells of chocolate and all the street light's have hershey kisses on the top.. very cute! :p

Just a little note.

Nestle is the sponsor of the Land which is why the chocolate is there. Sposors such as Kodak and, at the time American Express, sign contracts to sposor pavillions but can also expand that to be the offical sponsor throughout the world. It depends on what they wish to spend. Nestle just wanted the land. I have seen them use Hersheys as the dipping chocolate for the rice crispies for years.

Oh to shed a little more light about Nestle and Hersheys that nobody mentioned. Don't forget the Nestle is about to become, or already has become, the new owner of Hershey Chocolate.
