Is there anyone else crazy enough to go opening weekend.

I figured I would throw this out there. I'm getting a few days off the weekend of Jun 18-20 so I thought I jump a flight to Orlando for the weekend. I had the crazy notion of attempting to getting into WWoHP on the 19. It would be a good father's day treat for me and the kids. I gather there will like a million people and the rest of the world there that weekend. Am I the only one this crazy to do this. Just thought I'd ask. :hammer::hammer::hammer:

Beware, the place is going to be mobbed, and all of the Hogsmede shops are tiny. Expect multi-hour waits for Forbidden Journey. The entire land is beautiful and incredibly well done, but I have no idea what they were thinking from an operational point of view--it's going to be a nightmare to run.

Honestly, I wouldn't even bother getting on I-4 in that area next weekend. I think even the roads will be jammed.

Originally, when planning our honeymoon last summer, we were going to do the first two days of our trip at Universal (I haven't had the best luck there in the past and thought it could be because I've gone at the end of my trips so I'm used to "Disney" treatment). It ends up being June 19 and 20.........so we aren't going to Uni until Wednesday and Thursday. I'm sure it'll still be crazy but hopefully not as bad as the weekend.

Im pretty sure he was talking about going to opening day at Universal for Harry Potter. But yes, I wish I lived closer as well.

Ok, not really.

I've been several days for the sneak previews and those crowds were bad enough. There is no way I would battle it out on opening day.

NO way I'm going south of Conroy on I4 next weekend! If I go anywhere, it will be to Disney via the 429!

I've already been to potterland, so no biggie. Great stuff, but not worth dealing with the tens of thousands of people Uni is expecting. They're already putting up a huge LCD screen at the front of IOA to show the opening of it up there.
