Is there any advantage?

What are the advantages or drawbacks when you turn your reservation over to a Disney Travel Specialist like Kingdom Konsultants or Pixie & Pirate Dentinations? It's all new to me since I've always dealt with Disney directly. What can they do for you that an experienced Disney nut cannot do for them selves? Thanks!

If youy are truly experienced, and if you have your finger on the pulse of every available discount and promotion, then there's nothing they can do for you that you can't do yourself.

That being said, even some experienced folk like you and me sometimes liek someone else to be in the driver's seat sometimes.

For example, let's say you have your heart set on staying at POFQ and you make a reservation there. A big discount is announced, and it's not available at POFQ but it is available at POR. So you take the big savings and rebook at POR, but your heart was really set on POFQ. You can do like I did ... you can call once or twice or three times a day every day for weeks until you finally luck into a discounted opening at POFQ ... OR you can let your Disney specialist travel agent do all that for you.

So they're not going to save any money for people like you and me, but they just might save us a lot of bother in some situations.

I have been to Disney about 15 times over the years and I am only 24. My family has personally booked a trip for 18 of us when the entire fam went.

I have a great handle on the discounts where to stay and what to get.

I just booked my first trip with my fiance with Kingdom Consultants for just 2 of us. It freed up a ton of time on my end. It was nice just emailing them and letting them do the calling and work. Plus the lady I am booking with there has gone many times and was able to reccomend things and give first hand accounts. I will never not use them from now on.

Every question gets answered

I can't speak to these two agencies personally although I have hard good things about Kingdom Konsultants, but it will free up a lot of your time. You can turn over as much responsibility or as little as you want. And many agencies will give you little perks, like gift cards or some small gift.

If you're booking a cruise, many agencies give out substantial on board credits--for that reason alone you should go with a agency for cruises.

I have a similar question, but have always wondered if the price you might pay online or by calling WDW directly is comparable to using a travel agent?

I cant speak for all agencies but for anyone at Kingdom Konsultant Travel the answer is absolutely, yes we will be the same pricing you can get yourself, possibly better if we find out about a discount you qualify for. We never charge a fee to our clients for our services. Have a great weekend all!! Marie

Any trusted Disney Travel Agency will be able to provide you with full service at the same price that Disney charges. With my agency, if a guest transfers their reservation from Disney, we donate up to $50 to a charity of that guest's choice. I have also heard great things about Kingdom Konsultants.

Just a caution - some will give deep onboard credits/kickbacks to you - but then the service they give may not necessarily be the best. You need to decide what is best for you - the lowest price with little to no service, or pay a little bit more for better service. Much depends on the agency - be sure to do your research!

Remember, when a you have a travel agent book for you, you give up a little bit of control over the reservation - for example, you cannot call Disney and make any direct changes or payments yourself, you need to have the agent do that for you. You can still book ADR's yourself if you want, and arrange cruise port excursions, but anything that deals directly with the reservation is under agent control.

I'm a Disney travel pro and keep well abreast of current promotions when I'm getting ready for a Disney World or Disneyland trip. But it's just so much easier to let Pam and the folks at Kingdom Konsultants take care of everything. Pam books my hotel with the best deals available and will even get my ADR's for me, which makes my life easier.

I agree with this statement 100%! We booked our trip this year with Jessica, at Kingdom Konsultants and couldn't be happier! Not only will they apply any discounts if they become available (keeping my fingers crossed) but also will suggest the many ways to make your Disney vacation even more enjoyable! My DH is NOT a fan of Disney (what's wrong with that man?!?!?!?) but Jessica has been giving me a slew of ideas of how to *convert* him! I understand you can do ADR's directly with Disney, I'd rather give full control to Jessica. Why??? One big reason is time management. So many parks, so many restaurants, and I'm sure if my scheduling was off kilter (too many park visits to the same park, too much travel, etc.) Jessica would make even better suggestions :slurp: (Being a serious foodie and private caterer, this is a big deal to me!!) We are already doing alot of *firsts* this year, and looking forward to adding a few more!! Thanks Jessica!!

Thank you Debbie :wave:I appreciate your kind words! It's been awesome working with you and I look forward to helping you plan more :) And DH will be loving WDW by the end of your trip when he sees how many things he has yet to experience and try :)

Kingdom Konsultants :)

I too have been going to Disney yearly for the last 7 years and for the first 5 years I did everything with Disney directly. I can remember spending a good amount of time booking everything over the phone with them. Then I can remember getting up at 6 am to try and book ADR's. What a waste of time. Finally, in 2010 I reached out to Kingdom Konsultants with a few questions and met Jenell. She has been amazing. I have had a million questions and she always gets right back to me. She takes her time to compare packages and discounts and get me the best deal. She booked our 2010 trip, we unfortunately couldn't go in 2011, and she just booked our trip this August. She even called me directly this week to verify that we couldn't change our trip to the end of August for free dinning. :( No dice we start school on the 27th. But she just didn't want to assume this without asking.
All I have to do is email her with dates, resort, ticket types, amount of people and ages, and dining plan option and she does everything, even my ADR's. She even spent a Sunday calling T-Rex cafe directly trying to get our family in because our preferred time was not available with Disney. My weekends are precious with my family, and I appreciated her having to deal with them so I could enjoy my day off. She has been amazing and I will continue to use her in our future Disney trips.
