my pick up time is 5:30pm for a 9:05pm flight.

Some news!

I was trying to book a nice dinner before I go home. Some restaurants open at 5, and my mears schedule had me meeting them at 5:15 and departing at 5:30.

So I called them, and they changed it to 6:30!

I mentioned I have no bags, I have Clear (if they even take it there?) and really don’t need to get there that early.

The woman said as long as I’m willing to accept responsibility if I miss my flight because it’s rush hour, and I said if I miss it, I’ll happily stay another night!

So I booked Cali Grill at 5, and changed my pick up location to the Contemporary. She was really very helpful and accommodating.

Don’t tell me you can’t get good dinner ADR’s at the last minute, either!

It’s beautiful out, this is a good day at WDW.

Glad you're able to change your (departure) pick-up time and location!

Just make sure you're there on time. In my experiences with Mears Connect, the drivers are super punctual and won't wait for anyone running a few minutes late.

Oh, trust me, I was on the phone! (I was also on two cocktails with dinner and some meds. )

I was also talking with a Mears taxi driver in the parking lot who said if my ride didn’t show in a few minutes, they would likely call him to take me.

He drove faster than the previous bus, and I still got to the airport by 7:15. Had a half hour to spare after going through security. (And they wanted to pick me up an hour sooner!)

There were 2 other people on the full sized bus, which is more like our previous experiences with ME. I often wondered how they weren’t losing a fortune driving nearly empty big buses that distance each way.

Mears Connect is amazing! I've used them three times and have never had any negative experiences, except one: I got horribly motion sick back in August 23 but that's not anything we can control. Like ME the only thing I dislike are the pick-up times. We usually fly out in the morning so having to be up and rolling at 4:30 am is never fun lol. We're driving down from NC next week, however, as flying has become absolute abysmal lately.

Mears Connect sucked on Friday the 15th of March. I will never use them again. We were in front of Bay Lake Tower at the designated spot for a 4:20 pick up. We were there at 3:55 so we were early. Got the text that the driver was coming and the link to track him. We saw him pull into the Contemporary and we waited for him to round the corner to our stop. He never showed. There were two other parties waiting as well. When we all checked the tracking app, the driver had reported all of us as a no show. Had to get Mears to send three taxis to pick up 13 people and their bags. Luckily my family had time before our flights but one of the parties was cutting it close. We were also ignored at the airport for pick up. They kept filling buses for other resorts but they ignored our line until we pointed out that we had checked in long before the others. They gave us a taxi there as well which was great because it was just two stops. POFQ and us.

Doesn't Mears schedule pick ups around 3 hours before flight scheduled departure time? Mears taxi should have got you to MCO 2 hours, or more, before scheduled flight departure.

No excuse for the driver but I suspect the party gave the wrong flight info, missed their original bus or persuaded Mears into a later pick up time

That party was WestJet to Toronto so they probably needed extra time. 4:20 was the scheduled pickup. It was after 5 when the taxis arrived. Either way Mears lost several customers that day.

DME scheduled international pickups 4 hours before departure. Does Mears do the same thing?

I get your point? I basically agree with BUT the early pick up time is designed to handle your situation. You had enough time. The other party would have been OK if the pickup time was 4 hours before their international flight.
