I voted No. But there should be the option that there isare no futuristic rides/attractions anymore in Tomorrowland.

The people mover is nothing more than an sit-down escalator....(yup I know some of the mech is different, but there's no real visible way to tell this.)

The worst bit is that it doesn't take you anywhere, it goes in a long loop.

Now if it had been used as a transit system to actually take you somewhere, that would be something....I would even take something worth seeing on route right now.

Here's something to consider: Lilo and Stitch is supposed to take place in present day, but Stitch's Great Escape is a PREQUEL to the film, so it technically takes place in the PAST.

I've wondered if the film never came out and this was a original attraction to TL...Would it still be hated or liked..

I'd say there's a bit more American pulp, a la Flash Gordon, than Jules Verne, at least for WDW's version of Tomorrowland.

This. It could use some TLC, but Tomorrowland has always struck me as "the future as we dreamed it" back in the early-mid 20th century. Take a look at some of the posters and the art style. It's very pulp sci-fi.

Tomorrowland certainly doesn't have some of the attraction pull that it used to. Space Mountain is all but nostalgia. But there's nothing wrong with that at all. If they committed a bit more to the idea, it would be more obvious.

I think Peoplemover and SM are futuristic, and Tomorrowland itself has a futuristic feel for the most part. I agree though that there are a number of attractions that aren't futuristic, and IMO, detract from the area, with the TL Stage and Speedway being the biggest offenders. Loud, smelly cars and loud music aren't futuristic, they're just annoying.

...or at least a healthy dose of "Sonic the Hedgehog"

Lol never noticed that before.

Come to think of it, add a a bit of yellow paint and the covered TTA track WOULD blend nicely into the background of Chemical Plant Zone.

Now if they could at least change to electric cars (with an auto braking before slamming into the vehicle ahead of you) with some futuristicy sights along the way...maybe even a tunnel, I'd like that.

They could completely redo the attraction and make a second story indoor portion to save space for other things...

Apparently, it has been quite a while since you were a kid. I'd have no problem with them switching to electric, but, the speedway needs to stay for kids everywhere.

Yep. Speedway, as-is, is completely intolerable.

I'd love to see it get electric vehicles and a Sugar Rush overlay, or go to all-electric cars with a future suburb look, like at Hong Kong.

Bulldozing and removing it entirely would also be acceptable.

Still doesn't make up for bad writing. Like how the Stitch aliens just NOW discover "Ee-arth" and the Magic Kingdom.... yet the guests were already in the Magic Kingdom in order to visit the prison in the first place.

Seriously, if they really had to tone down Alien Encounter for kids by adding Stitch....fine. I understand that.
But at least keep a storyline that makes sense! How much better would it have been if they just called it "Stitch Encounter", brought back the original, hammier Phil Hartman pre-show (Circuit Y? Y Certainly!), and turned this into X-S's attempt at re-branding themselves. "We're sure that we've got it right THIS time!"
