Is the Monorail shuttling because of the Wand demolition? We talked about that idea a month ago. Is it happening now?:lookaroun

Good question... Although I would bet it won't.

Since the work is being done after park hours, the public isn't in harm's way at any point.

While they're not doing it now, they're only taking down the relatively small and easy pieces. Who knows what will happen when they get to the main structural sections.

he wand demolition is taking place after park hours and has no effect on the operations of the monorails.
^ not exactly correct.

It is taking place after closing of the park, but not after the closing of the EPCOT Center monorail. And I wouldn't say the monorail + crane relationship has a perfect track record so far.

The EPCOT Center monorail operating times is dependent on MK's normal (non EMH) operating times. If MK closes at midnight, EPCOT Center monorails may be on the beam until about 1:40am.

The structural steel will come down the same as the letters do, they will be cut off and lowered to the ground.

A 30' letter weighing a few tons can injure/kill/damage things just as easily as a piece of the main support column. After all - what do you think the structural components of those letters are made with?

Is this for people who park at Epcot then park-hop to MK and need to get back to their car at 1am? This would allow for crane action photos when MK is open late!
