Not that it hasn't been stated about 100 times in this thread alone... but the hat is gone and it is never coming back.

I'm pretty sure this is just an extensive rehab. I can't believe you people are still believing that it's being removed almost 300 pages in!

I'm pretty sure they're saving the pieces. They're going to super glue all of the pieces back together. It will remind people of when they were kids and tried to hide that they broke something.

Because as we all know Disney thrives on nostalgia.

i hate the hat where it was... (and a bit in general) hahahaha however... id love them take the tip of it that they cut off and sat there to take it and put mini props to resemble the large one and place it close to where the mickey flowers are in front of the park... and maybe thats what my friend who works in that department there meant... idk...

I'm sure if you did a search, George, you would find out exactly what is going to happen to it because there must be 1000's of direct posts from the Disney Company that detail exactly what their plans are for it. Or maybe just check a cave drawing. It might be there as well.

I've always felt that the addition of two or 3 more giant hats (think giant Mickey ears (not the stupid water tower, that is not a real hat!), giant Goofy hat, giant chef's hat, giant top hat, giant evil bowler hat from Meet the Robinsons etc.) would create a festive "hatmosphere" along Hollywood Blvd. that would be unparalleled in themed attraction area history.

Maybe they should have went the other way, constructed more large hats and renamed it Disney Hat Studios. The acronyms around here still would work!

I did a search with all the important words in quotes to make sure that the search engine would find what I wanted - "Disney's future use of Hollywood Studios Iconic Hat that Made Boring Old Hollywood Road Somewhat Festive Despite the Desires of the Evil Hat Remover People who Seem to Live on WDWMagicalmessageboards of Interesting Disney Stuff"

TDO shoulda' just brought in David Copperfield to make the BAH disappear. Not only would it have been infinitely quicker, It woulda' been good show. They coulda' advertised the hard-ticketed, TV special event for months in advance, creating huge buzz, excitement, and antici....................pation.
Plus, it probably wouldn't a' cost much more.

Maybe they can build his magic underground restaurant while they're at it. I don't know how it would be underground though as the Florida water level is really high. Nothing can really be underground.

I haven't been to that bakery in years, so it's nice to hear your opinion. When I was younger, my mom and I would get a cherry turnover from that bakery and watch the fireworks. Ahhhhh, the good ol' days

I used to love getting breakfast in the bakery, but now it's a Starbucks and the only bakery items to speak of are a few pathetic excuses for pastries that you'd find in any branch in the land.
