He has a music album that came out about 10 years ago called Dead Mans Bones, amazing album and it very much channels the Haunted Mansion, one can tell his love for it and the huge inspiration it has had on him, he has mentioned the attraction frequently in interviews also etc over the years. Its great if you can find a copy of the cd. I think amazon has some for around $11 last I checked. If posts ever get back to the guy or if he reads here,,,huge fan here of that creative album, very cool, and ok lala land too. 👍👏

Tokyo's Mansion is also the worst of the 3. It's WDW's pre-Spider removal.
Uh no. Paris is the worst. It doesn’t even have narration. You just ride through with the background music.

I happen to love the overlay in Cali, though.

When I say worst of the 3, I was comparing Florida, California and Tokyo which all have many of the same elements. Paris is different enough.

Is he still teasing us about the film he was intending on doing?

Nah. I think the video posted is over a year old. Shame about the movie though. No hope for it now. A Ryan Gosling/Guilermo Del Toro Haunted Mansion film sounds infinitely better than the lame- direction Disney is taking the movie now. Why the resurfaced clip? Last ditch effort from a fan maybe?

At this point I’m convinced even if they consciously tried, Disney couldn’t do a better job tanking its film division.

I like HMH, but it goes on too long. If they just closed the Mansion from early November to mid January for set up/take down and to run it, that would be fine, but closing it from late August to mid January is too much time without regular Mansion.

How can a person tell me GotG Mission Breakout is an improvement over ToT, yet HMH makes HM look like a wastebasket on Christmas day?

For all of it's faults, I absolutely love the energy and the soundtrack it brings every holiday season. Maybe it does last for too long but that's a different conversation.

What if I instead they just made a NBC attraction... They already have the props and animatronics. All that's missing is the obligatory screenz and black box ride system. Then just clone it for DHS. Why bastardize the Haunted Mansion?

It probably has to do with the cost. It takes them 3 weeks or so to implement the change right? And once it's up, HMH reaches some pretty stellar wait times. It's a people pleaser that helps attract crowds around the holiday season. Lucky for me, I just enjoy it period.

I certainly wouldn't argue the point if Disney thought about going through with something like what you said though. Instead they gotta focus on ruining one of the most Disney-quality attractions in the world, Splash Mountain  unfortunately further proving my point that they find it better to retheme an attraction than to give us something entirely new.

You know that they had a monster year in 2019, right?
It was a monster year followed by a terrible job handling Covid. The mouse spendeth money as quickly as it receiveth, although the money isn’t necessarily spent the way we fans would prefer. ;)
