Is Ohana truly booked solid towards the end of September already?

I don't get what the big deal about Ohana is. I've eaten there before and it was just ok, both food and service. Is it trendy right now or something, or did they make it into character dinner?

Same thing happened to us last year for our trip the end of May. Couldn't get anything for Chef Mickey's either. We checked every day up until the day we left. We are going the first week in August this year and were lucky enough to get ADR's for Ohana.

Called Monday at 7:00 a.m. for my ADR's and booked Ohana for 10/5 at 6:35. That was the date and time that I requested. No luck with Le Cellier, but did get Ohana. Now I am feeling pretty lucky :)

Credit card needed!

Well, I know @ all of the restaurants I booked ADRS I had to put in my credit card to gurantee my space. I was surprised @ 'Ohana character breakfast & dinner, 1900 Park Fare character dinner! I wasn't surprised about booking the Spirit of Aloha- I can understand that. I didn't have to give my credit card for a Kona Cafe reservation. On the DDP, it said your credit card would not be charged, but I guess w/ the new policy, if you don't show up, they will charge you. I am glad they are doing something about the people who "cheat" the system!

Just FYI for everyone, not all tables and restaurants for the end of September and beginning of October have been loaded into the reservation system yet. A few restaurants are having problems. Cinderellas wasn't loaded for breakfast at the beginning of September, only lunch and dinner were until a couple of weeks past the 180 day mark. It's fixed now.

Le Cellier has nothing loaded past the 24th of September as of right now.

Cape May doesn't have all of it's tables loaded for the end of September yet.

I haven't heard that it's a known problem with Ohana but there's a chance it is.

Some of the CM's know about the problems, others will tell you it's full. If you ask them to check the reservation list for the day you are looking for, then they can see that it's not full, and in fact no one has been able to make a reservation for LeCellier for example.

Of course it could all be fixed tomorrow or any day now, but there have been problems for a few weeks.

All of that to say, keep checking. Nothing is set in stone yet. :)

I think you are correct. I just checked Ohana for 10/1 and nothing was available. So I believe WDW has yet to load these into the system yet. Hopefully they do this soon, as it is a pain to check these dining reservations twice per day!!!

No, it's the same as it's always been.

I love the food there, and I don't even touch anything before the skewers come around, besides the bread. Plus, the dessert is the best on property.

It's been extremely popular as far back as I can remember. I remember booking it for the 1st time in 2005 and it was the toughest reservation to get. To this day, it still is for us.

I feel the same way about Ohana - it's take it or leave it. The food and service were both good - not great. But my fiance LOVES it. He really loves the food and is a sauce man so he loves drenching everything in those sauces.

But I'm trying breakfast at Ohana this time around.

I personally prefer the Kona Cafe for breakfast in the food choice but Ohana has more appeal with regards to a character breakfast and just overall atmosphere.

We just made some ADR's and the agent advised us that not all tables are actually available. Something along the lines of them releasing tables in blocks.

We are going Sept 22-29 and were able to book the dates we wanted for all of our signature restaurants but the times were off about 30 minutes.

I would at least make a reservation for that day even if the time is earlier or later at least you have a seat. You can always call back to follow up.

Hmm, yes that's true, drenching everything in sauces is kind of a southern thing that many people around here like. Maybe that's part of it.

Yes I also prefer Kona Cafe for breakfast. That tonga toast was something really good that is a more rare menu item. And the service there was excellent. Maybe I should try Kona for dinner sometime.

Did the agent say or give a hint of when the remaining blocks of tables may be released?

I had no trouble.

I booked my ADRS under my resort reservation confirmation number and was able to get all that I wanted. We're going 9/23-9/29. I believe I made my reservations on March 26 after receiving my email INVOICE. I was able to make all of them on the same day and didn't have any issues w/ 'Ohana. I was more worried about Spirit of Aloha, but no problem there either.:) Good luck to everyone making ADRS.:animwink:
