Is Mr Potato Head still spouting the same 6 phrases?

"Who's your second favoriteee?!"

I was down at the end of last month and while in line he was saying the same few phrases over and over and did not come across as even being controlled by a real person. Has this changed yet or is he still just in "B" mode?

Definately being controlled live when I was there last Monday...was talking to people in the line, asking questions, responding appropriately to what we were saying, though the script was repetitive...

^I burst out laughing about 20 times in the 10 minutes that Rickles was on the Tonight Show last week.

FYI, no mention of Toy Story Mania.

The LCI aspect was definitely working the day I was there on the 15th.

I had him in audible range for maybe 30 minutes. During that time I did not hear any particular sequence of dialogue more than twice. He also talked to several people, including my son. Even once, he said he couldn't hear them the first time they responded.

Unfortunately, though, I never saw him pull out his ear in the 30+ minutes I had him in view.

EDIT: Sorry, I meant to type "more than twice" originally.

When I was in the back part of the line, I saw Mr. Potato Head freeze for a few seconds. I thought he broke down, but then he came right back to life. I was far away from him, so it was hard to tell, but it sounded he said something about a good rest, or unfreezing, or something like that, and that's why he froze. Has anyone else seen this, or did I mishear him?

I was there last weekend and he was still saying the same 4 lines over and over again. I swear he sings "one potato two potato" at least 4 times every 20 minutes.

Never heard "one potato two potato."

(BTW, please see the edit on my post above. I misstyped the first time.)

sounds like Mr. Potato head needs a little dab of butter, some sour cream, some chives, a little bacon...mmmmm bacon...and the closest microwave. I was under the impression that he was supposed to be very interactive with the crowd. I have heard from three people that he was either on auto pilot or a computer rut...he kept saying the same 4-6 phrases over and over.

It would have made more sense to have a second AA in the area that Mr.Potato Head could interact with in addition to guests. That way there would have been more variety and guests would have gotten more of a wow factor.

In California it makes sense to just have him by himself interacting with guests on the boardwalk similar to the old Barker Bird from Tiki Room. In florida since your suppoesd to be in Andy's room there should have been a bit more.

I'm not kidding! He's got alot of great new stuff to say. (You can check videos of DCA's, he started out with some of them over there.)

:D
