We are going the World this summer so I am starting to get a game plan on ADRs. My DH and I want to go out one night just the two of us. He loves steaks and wanted to try Le Cellier. Is it that bad?? Should we go with Cali Grill or Narcoosee in stead? We are staying at BLT and would like to spend part of the night in EPCOT. What do you think?

I certainly hope it's good because we're going for the first time on our honeymoon and we will have the DDP for the first time, meaning it costs 2 points!

Side note, the best meal/steak I've ever had at Disney was the filet at Brown Derby and I'm very picked with beef. Worth thinking about!

We've only eaten there once and for us, it didn't live up to the hype. I'd read on here that everyone loved it so much and we were really looking forward to it and were then disappointed. However, I will say that we were with a large party and half of us were running late and we almost lost the ressie. Seriously, only because my DD (then age 1) was flirting with the hostess and she really liked her did we not lose our table. She held it longer for us than she was supposed to. So, we were already off before we sat down. Anyway...sorry to get off on that. I remember the bread being really, really good and I enjoyed the moose dessert. (can't remember what it's called now.) I say go for it, especially if you're wanting to be at Epcot. We would try it again, but without kiddos this time. :)

We go every visit as DH chooses this one, steaks not bad, but I go along for the pretzel bread and the Maple Creme Brulee. We use the DDDP so it being 2 credits are not a problem. We love the wait yes you did read correct while waiting the greeter (I think that is what they are called) does a Disney Q&A to help the time pass. TTFN Jo

We love Le Cellier and eat there almost every trip. As said before, the bread is amazing and the steaks have always been excellent. That being said, our last visit was dampened by a wait issue. We were using DDDP and had reservations that had been booked the second the advanced reservations were available. We got to the restaurant 20 minutes before our reservations and still had to wait 2 hours before we were seated while watching walk in diners being seated ahead of us. We weren't the only family this happened to that night. I'm sure this was just a fluke, it's the only time it's happened to us. Enjoy your trip!!!

We've only done lunch...non-signature lunch. The steak was good, but certainly wasn't "the best steaks of our lives" either. It was really hard for me to look at my lunch version of the filet and see how it could transform into a signature meal. I think if I were in the Epcot area and wanted steak, I'd be more inclined to leave Epcot and either head to Shula's or Yachtsman.

Le Cellier in my DW's and my opinion are not up to the hype that you read about. While the wait staff is very attentive, cordial, and some of the best on property, the food isn't anything special. Our last visit earlier this month we had stacked up the Biergarten for lunch with the Candlelight package on the 4th for the last day of Andy Garcia followed by LC for supper. The wait time isnt all that good, they're kind of hampered by the front area design (the podium where they do the check in is in the interior and designed for a CRT so the flatscreen replacement is down at the bottom of a well) The food was ok, but not spectacular, especially considering we spent about $167.00 and for that price I can see why folks linger longer.

We've only eaten there the one time but loved it! I got the mushroom filet mignon and the maple creme brulee- and I was in heaven! One of the best meals I've ever had in my life! (And mmm that pretzel bread!) We're headed back to WDW in a month- with reservations at Le Cellier- and I SERIOUSLY CANNOT WAIT!

We absolutely love Le Cellier!! If you are concerned at all, give Yachtsman a try. It is close enough to walk to, or you can take the boat to Epcot. I would recommend sticking with Le Cellier.

**Edit** Just realized you said just you and your DH.....Jiko's has great steaks and is very romantic! It is, however, not near Epcot. **End**

I went LC many times. It is going downhill in terms of the steak. My party of 2 had a bad experience for lunch there one out the two time I went there on my last trip in terms of the steak.Steak was rush and the steak didn't taste right as a result despite being ordered medium. The portions of food also are cut down also. I have no plans going there on my next trip. LC only able to get steak right 1 out of 2 times isn't good at all and that is not the type of quality of steak you expect when the lunch is going to take 2 credits for the Disney dining plan.

I also know a couple that goes to LC a lot. They went there 2 times also on their last trip for lunch and they had problems with the steak one of the 2 times there. The couple tried to eat the steak and it tasted so bad that they can't finish it with it being rushed. The couple told me that Yachtsman has LC beat.

I don't eat steak.

Le Cellier is not as good as people used to say it was. I think now that Disney has jacked up the cost, more people will say it isn't all that good.

It's a fine place to eat. It just isn't especially good.

Whether you eat at Le Cellier or decide to go elsewhere, don't leave the park to eat. It sucks up too much time.

LeCellier was great as average steakhouse. As a signature nope, doesn't cut it. I think Cali Grill is going down for a long refurb you might want to check the dates. I'd go with Yachtman for a real signature.

OK, Thanks, I will consider that.

When Le Cellier was 1 credit it was the best bang for your buck on the DDP. The reality is the place has always been on par with or slightly better than your average Long Horn or Outback steak house which are not bad, but do not hold a candle to places like Shula's, The Yachtsman or Charley's. Now that Le Cellier is 2 credits, it is just way overpriced for what it is. If you want a great steak throw down for Shula's or Yachtsman. If you are OK with your average chain restaurant steak, there are a number of places in WDW where you can get just that without all of the hoop jumping required to get into Le Cellier.

I have been hearing this a lot lately on the forum and in fact we were in Disney with Friends in October and while we dined at R&C they waited 45 minutes past their reserved time and also got there 20 minutes ahead like yourself which meant they missed ROE that evening.
