Is it worth it to join D23?

I've been a member since the start, and you get a nice magazine and some other keepsakes 4 times a year or so, but I'm opting out this year. Save myself 75 bucks.

I purchased the magazine by itself last month and loved it. When I told my hubby I was going to purchase them from now on he told me that it makes more sense to become a member because you get the keepsakes, magazine, and welcome watch, and access to purchase exclusive merchandise! I am looking forward to joining

The magazine is slick but not worth the price alone. I wish the D23 events were closer to home. I really doubt that I'll be renewing.

If you are close enough, or travel frequently enough to partake in some of the special events, then certainly. But if you only get down once in a while, check out the magazine and see if the content is worth the cost. And decide if you would want a handful of special items/merchandise opportunities. Some people love that stuff, others find it kinda meh.

exactly the reasons I didn't renew this year. Great Magazine- but still not worth the added prices for 4 tiems a year.

I've been a member since the beginning. The ONLY objection I have is that all the events (and I guess I can see why) are in Anaheim or WDW. If they had an occasional gathering/event in the midwest it would be perfect. I did get to D23 Expo, which was great, and the membership helped with a discount and some early admission perks. The magazine and extra stuff are really very nice and I didn't expect the extras when I joined. Just belonging to it and being part of "the club" has some value too. I don't regret joining and plan on staying.

I can't really plan my travel around events, but the magazine looks cool. Maybe I'll just buy the magazine and see how I like it.

A lot of the merch looks cool, but some of it is really expensive and I'm just not at that point in my life where I can drop that kind of money on keepsakes.

I'm a charter member and at this point the annual cost of renewal is a small extravagance that I allow myself. Figuring every year the number of Charter Members gets smaller and remaining in the club becomes more valuable (even if the value of being a charter member as opposed to just a member is hard to determine). Maybe in 10 years they will have an event to honor the charter members. Who knows?

I'm probably a sucker to renew, but it makes getting the magazines easy and convenient and I can share the little member extras with my nieces and nephews since my own kids are too old to care about a patch or a pin.

I'm a D23 member but chose the less value one (which is without the magazine). Unless you close or can travel cheap then I would not join. I live in Tampa so if an event comes up and then if I can afford that D23 event at least being a member I can go.
