Is it possible to secretly spend the night @ the MK?

How would you do it? Have you done it? Do you know someone that has done it?

You would basically have to find a spot in the bushes and lay there all night. Could it be done? Do you know that spot behind Small World, it used to be the turn-around for the sky cable cars.... Id find a nice comfy bush and set up camp. How about at one of the other parks? Has it been done? How and where would you do it?

Some may ask why would you do this? Why not stay in your nice comfy hotel room? It's the thrill of doing it I guess. I'd rather just stay in the castle, but this thought has intrigued me since I was a child.

Some people just won't get what Im asking, while others will be right there me...

Comments??

Like I said... It must be the time of year. It's been a year since the last post on the subject and there are probably 1000's of new and innovative ideas! I'm just a big kid!

But just not that many new and innovative hiding places!

Have you seen the cleaning equipment? Have you ever wondered why the streets are wet at the rope drop? Have you ever seen the giant treaded monsters that go up ski slopes blowing snow and manicuring the property? Picture the zamboni from your local ice skating rink - and now picture dozens of them with high-powered lamps pointing down scrubbing and sanitizing every square inch of the place. Why do you think the people who win the overnight trips in the castle can't leave the castle. Disney doesn't want people to see the clean-up. Part of the magic is that it is just clean the next morning and that's all you need to know. Trying to stay overnight and keep kidden is like trying to hide on the 50-yard line of a fotball field - during halftime.

wasnt there a boy meets world episode where cory and shawn are seen wakign up at the top of splash mountain after hiding all night in a boat? i think this is the episode topanga won a trip with the science class and he didnt. another time he tries to confess his love but another girl gets in the way type of thing.

Though i do agree i would LOVE to spend a night even though i dont think it is possible to do it unless you do stay in the castle in which you are confined.

Yes... a wonderful memory. I guess it's the time of year when I start making secret plans to stay in one of the parks! LOL

Ya know I think I know the book you were talking about in your thread. My wife is a School Media Specialist and she told me about a book called Kingdom Keepers which is suppose to be about kids staying overnight in the Magic Kingdom. The guy that wrote it spoke at one of the conventions she attended last fall and said that in order to write the book he actually got Disney's help and did in fact hide out in the park and similate some of the things in his book like sneaking in after dark into its a small world. I don't know I haven't read it but its suppose to be a really good book atleast highly recomended for school libraries. *shrug*

**First post**

Hi all, first time posting - long time viewer though:lookaroun

Have to agree with Stitcheriffic, it would certainly destroy some of the magic of the park. However this post did remind me of a dream I had where I had awoken in one of the homes of It's A Small World, stepped outside and all the AA were alive

Seriously, a terrifying sight!!!

I guess I just don't understand why someone would want to do this...

The rides are closed. The park gets cleaned. It's dark. You'd be alone. Explain to me, why this is cool?

I`d imagine you`d be booted out for tresspassing - at best - or at worst arrested. Reading the small T&C carefully your admission is only valid during regular park hours. After that, you`re there illegally.

Imagine someone in the third shift turning a fire hose on you :D

It kinda would be cool, just to see what goes on and literally be the only guest walking around....Imagine waling with NO BACKGROUND MUSIC!!! Weird.... I might try inside an attraction, or perhaps somewhere in the Tomorrowland theatre?

I think people that would have any interest in staying would be people that like WDW, and they'd be afraid of getting caught and hit with the lifetime ban stick :hammer:

but... funny that sleuth mickey up there noticed that you made this post a year ago :)

I remember hearing about when EPCOT Computer Central crashed in the 80`s - back when it ran the whole park. To have a park full of guests (the attractions were evacuated) with no music apparently sounded like a sports stadium with all the talking and no music....
