Is Easter Week the week BEFORE or AFTER Easter??

Just curious. We always go during the first couple of weeks of December, but were having serious withdrawal, and will be there the week after Easter this year.

I know it will be busy, but with all of the talk about Easter Week being unreal, I was wondering just which week that is.

So, for those of you who know the schedule best, just when exactly is Easter Week?

im going to be there april 8 - 16th, i usually go the first couple weeks of december also, but i have been this time of the year and in the summer right after school let out. i would think easter week would be the week after easter (Sunday is the beginning of the week so i dunno it makes sense to me) that is also when a lot of schools start taking breaks up here in the north so i dunno. hopefully we can deal with the crowds lol. i hope you enjoy your trip and maybe i will see you there!

Easter Week is the week which contains Easter Sunday. As any week starts on a Sunday and ends the following Saturday, Easter Week is therefore Easter Sunday to the following Saturday.
However, in the UK the schools break up for two weeks - 1 before Easter and 1 after - therefore the Brits are in WDW for two weeks and from past experience it is busy throughout this time.

My school systems always enjoyed being able to avoid giving an extra day off by scheduling Spring Break for the week containing Good Friday. Both weeks are most probably going to be packed, so be prepared. But don't worry...you can still do all your favorites!

Just a quick follow-up. Being a DVC member, I couldn't pool-hop the week that includes Good Friday, but I can the following week.

This is what caused me to ask the question in the first place. I know weeks begin on Sundays, but from what I was reading, my restrictions were placed on the Good Friday week.

So, that's the reason for my question.

We're leaving for the World in about 3 hours, so we'll be at our resort room in about 13 hours! See you there!!!

Have fun! When you get back, let us know about your trip.

That was an interesting question since this is the first year my boys are out the week of Easter Sunday; not the week before.
