There are so many other places that I would like to visit. I think my favorite vacation spot is Disney to go time and time again. Plus its close to St. Pete and I can go and visit my friends [and former life LOL] while I am there vacationing. Chicago runs a close second.

Firstly, let me say that I adore Disney, and would like to live close by some day so I could visit it any time I wanted to, BUT, if you have the money and/or opportunity to visit any of the real countries in the WS ( Italy, France, Mexico..etc) or even Hawaii (Poly), go, run, travel to the real country. I spent one semester of college in Rome. I remember thinking it was like being at Epcot, except it went on and on and on. There was more to discover on every block. And it was real, not made to look like it was a thousand years old, but actually a thousand years old. Real travel has made we be able to enjoy the World Showcase even more.

While I agree that with less money, WDW is always my first choice, I hope others here will travel to at least one country represented in the WS or by one of the parks or resorts sometime in their lives. Trust me on this.

just my two cents

I do love Disney, but I really would love to go explore places that would be new to me- like England, Ireland.....you know- actually get to see these places rather than just going to the World Showcase...

I also love to go to NYC, California and places like that. I go to disney almost once a year, but sometimes I feel like it is time for something new....

Disney is by far my favorite vacation spot. But I will say that Key West comes in a close second. I'll be able to compare after I take some more vacations! :)

JKovach, Disnick and Disnick1 are all absolutely the same person.

Yeah, I love Disney. I always leave thinking of what I want to do on my next visit.

I love WDW, but sometimes I get a wild streak in me and crave the massive monsters of Cedar Point. CP is awesome, but I have Disney on the brain 24/7.

This year we went to Disneyland for our first visit. Stayed there for 3 days then flew over to Hawaii for a week. It was our fourth trip over there, but as beautiful as Hawaii is, and as much fun as it was to visit the original Disney theme park,I have to say that WDW is still our favorite place to visit. And a 1 1/2 hour plane trip to WDW beats the heck our of an 11 or 12 hour flight to Hawaii. I plan to go back to Hawaii in another five years, but WDW is number 1

WDW is our favorite

My family and I have had many fun filled vacations at the beach, in the mountains, in big vibrant cities, etc. But for us, there is nothing which compares to Walt Disney World. It is consistently fun, clean, exciting and that quality which Disney does best, MAGICAL. We refer to our trips as our pilgrimmages. Can't wait till next month for our return to paradise!

I have lots of other vacation places I love. Banff (Canada) is my favorite non-disney vacation and although I'd love to go there again soon, our funds are limited so we always end up saving the money we would spend on a trip there to go to WDW. When I'm rich enough to take more than one big trip a year then we'll probably go to some other places. I enjoy Vegas and would love to go to New York and Europe sometime but in the meantime the mouse will be getting all of my vacation dollars. I just don't think I could face more than a year without a Disney vacation - besides, the occasional trip to Disneyland is a great way to change things up. :)

*gasps* BANFF?! Banff?! Why Banff!? Banff is about an hour and a half away from me... and WOW. I mean all you can do there is SKI or SNOWBOARD (or in my case fall down the mountains....) and go into the awesome hot springs. Now that's the best part about Banff. Loweing a bruised body into hot, clean, mountanious water.

Just curious what you love so much about Banff, though.
