It perplexes me how they somehow went from the 50's to the 80's. Anyone know? It kinda ruins the whole mood. I still love it though, i went last weekend and rode it at least 5 times.
When I went as a child in 1980, it had a different ending. I don't remember the specifics anymore (a remote control tv was part of it I think) but I do know it was different than it is now. Originally, the time periods were 1900s, 1920s, 1940s and 1960's. Worked out perfectly for the 1964 World's Fair. They've obviously updated the ending (perhaps a couple of times) since then. Makes it seem like quite a gap from the 40's forward. (BTW, my Mom still has the copper jello molds hanging on her kitchen walls -- a wedding gift in 1952!)
Yes the virtual reality goggles are "90's" but come on - those clothes are seriously out of date.
I never noticed the clothes. Probably because I'm cheap and still have most of my clothes from 10 years ago -- so it looks "normal" to me.
